Tales from the Drawderlands, Day 1-2 I haven't drawn properly for ages, and I've been struggling to start again on new hardware. I decided to go back to what worked the first time, and draw Borderlands locations 'til my eyes, hands, and brain get recalibrated. It's low pressure, and I can just screw around with it until my brain remembers what it's doing.

'cause I was talking about this yesterday, here are some Rhack-themed badges I made a while back. These are the latest version of the badge images (made from scratch in Inkscape, not 100% game-accurate.)

Can't remember if I ever posted these properly: Some simple Borderlands icons I made in 2022 for AmigaOS's Workbench. Displayed in FS-UAE, and on Amiga hardware + CRT TV (badly photographed.) Due to the screenmode used, the icon files are half-height, and appear with double-height pixels on the screen.

So, this image set is my attempt at drawing a scene from chapter 41 of the fantastic Lost and Found by @caffeinatedowlbear: the moment close to the chapter's end when Rhys finds himself looking at Jack across the table. Please excuse my lack of expressive words for why I loved that moment of looking so much. Due to brain weather, I can't decide which version(s) of the images to include here. As a workaround I'm going to post them all. Here goes:

Art-a-Day Day 29: Got too busy doing art to do art Uhhhhh that stuff that grows on cavern walls in Borderlands 1. It's safe to touch this stuff, right? Drew this for 2 skag hordes worth of time.

Art-a-Day Day 27 Made the second part of the pic for this and nearly forgot to post, oops. Silly AU concept: AI Jack got hitched to Atlas Rhys in secret, leading to some interesting rumours and a lot of bullet-riddled well-wishers on Helios. It's mostly an advantage in dealing with the original, except that the worse he is the more Rhys starts looking at him like an episode of Sad Skag Videos.

Art-a-Day Day 26: Further adventures of an ex-ratch (This will make even less sense out of context so just ... he was a ratch, OK?)

600% less emotionally complicated than what Rhys thought was about to happen. Jack's broodmum doesn't judge him for being the weird kid of the family, walking on two legs and stuff. Gets on OK with Rhys, even though he won't eat from the communal trash pile and has to bring a little side plate.

Art-a-Day Day 25: We have reached the 'not finishing things' stage. Super rough Drakensburg which I'd already done most of the work for. I remembered that the location was just a few steps to the right of the oxygen vent and did some 'finishing' touches to a very unfinished pic. Still counts! Still counts.
