Trees, like animals, can also experience albinism, though it is extremely rare.

I started using Head and Shoulders ten years ago for itchy scalp and dandruff, and then for ten years I have not had itchy scalp and dandruff, so I thought “why do I still buy shampoo to combat itchy scalp and dandruff when I do not have itchy scalp and dandruff,” so I stopped buying the shampoo for itchy scalp and dandruff and can you guess I have now? Can you predict what currently afflicts me? It’s alright if you can’t because apparently I fuckin couldn’t either

Shadowhunters Headcanon #3
Institute Heads are always ranked as Commanders in the martial organization of the Clave. That being said, leading the 171-Shadowhunter outpost in Des Moines, Iowa, is not comparable to running the New York Institute.
New York, when staffed with her full complement of 5,469 active-duty Shadowhunters and 1,598 support staff, is the third-largest in the world. The garrison at the NYI is a city in and of itself. Alec is Commander and General alike.
As a General of the Clave, Alec has full authority to lead other Institutes in battle when the Clave is on a war footing and has more limited authority to oversee the actions of the smaller Institutes in his region. Every Institute in North America falls under either the New York, LA, or Montreal Institute.
Alec, HOTI-NYI and General, answers to no one but the Clave.

AND yes I was sobbing at Alec giving Ali and protection/kinda adoption sigil in Bridges. He is such a caring and considerate being even though he presents as so stoic. Definitely a soft bean who just melts around kids. (esp when he has two toddlers constantly visiting his quarters multiple times a week)
Magnus when he finds out Alec is basically the rookies unofficial honorary guardian:
Tumblr media
(he fighting falling for Alec so hard but you basically fed him breakfast on instinct. We see you bb 🙃)
Magnus is starting to crack and you’re going to see it more and more over the next chapters. And yeah, finding out his husband has more or less been adopting kids left and right by the time they start talking about them is going to be a surprise.😆
Also, here is a tiny snippet (though still a bit rough around the edges because the words need to be made ✨prettier✨ still) from the next chapter that should have been part of the previous chapter before it spun too far out of control.
Bane holds out a hand toward Ali, helping him upright while Alec picks up the last of the pre-teen's bags and hands them to him. He's about to push himself to his feet when a tanned, manicured hand enters his line of vision.
 "Well?"
Bane's eyes are focused on Alec, something heavy and searching in them that Alec can't name. He raises his eyebrow again, the expression cool and distant, and yet distinct from both the cold scrutiny and the chilling aversion that Alec knows and knew.
His hand is warm.

unrelated to my CM breakdown today
like half my dash has reblogged this really gorgeous black and white Malec artwork
(it is in fact also in my q somewhere)
but the quote is “Emotions are never black or white. They’re more like symptoms.” WHICH GIVES ME FEELS
and I really want someone to write me the fic where Magnus figures out that that’s the moment he almost lost Alec, that that was the line where he didn’t, as he usually thinks, push too hard, but not hard enough, because for Alec, emotions are black and white, either he’s falling for Magnus or he’s not, that the switch Izzy teased him about is already on, and if Magnus can dismiss it as maybe than they’re not in the same place at all, and probably never will be, and if they’re not then it’s not worth the risk
and the reason Magnus crashing the wedding works is because Alec figures out that what Magnus says is part of the act that he puts on, what’s important is what he does, and that’s something Alec can understand completely

I was in my mid-20’s when I learned my father once kissed the dead body of my great-uncle’s mistress. Apparently she lived nearby and died in the middle of a ‘visit’ by said great-uncle. My dad had been trained in CPR for cub scouts so the grandparents and great-aunts/uncles who the uncle called then brought him over to give her mouth-to-mouth until the ambulance got there, even though they were pretty sure she was already dead. My mother finally randomly dropped this gem of a story in the middle of conversation only a year or two ago. For some reason, my dad has never once mentioned it.
fathers casually dropping the craziest lore of their lives in the middle of a conversation
