So.. this drawing actually started with the quote "will you believe me when I'm covered in blood?" that i saw a few weeks ago on tumblr (will tag op as soon as I find it back), but after a while, I felt like the drawing could have had different quotes.

Another option I was thinking about was "The dog that weeps after it kills is no better than the dog that doesn't. My guilt will not purify me." , but that feels more like Notch to me.

Anyway, I'm not 100% sure about this drawing, but I had been thinking about making it for weeks and couldn't resist any longer, even in the midst of an art block.

Herobrine is such an interesting and complex individual to me, and I tried to capture that in this drawing, especially with his expression and all the blood

I really like studying about different religions, their theology, iconography and more and then applying it Minecraft.

Not only the "canon" hits that Minecraft give to hypothetical old religions with carved blocks and such, but also in a more au type way.

Like what would a religion shaped around Notch, Herobrine, Jeb and Dinnerbone look like? How would it evolve after Herobrine's banishment to the Nether? Do pigmen in the nether have any sort of religion?? What about endermen? Is the End and Jean important to them? Us ut important to humans? Do they even know it exists??

I find elaborating on these things really interesting and I love when Minecraft fanfiction talk about it

I am Shams from Gaza, 17 years old, a girl from a family of 7. I was in my first year of high school before the war. I loved my family, my school, my friends, and life itself. But the war came and took everything I loved away.

The days have passed filled with loss and hunger. We no longer go to school—education has stopped, my school and home were bombed, and now my sister, her four daughters, and I all live in a single room.

We are struggling just to find a bite to eat, to have a roof that protects us from rain, rocket shrapnel, and the smell of gunpowder. Time passed, and I was supposed to take my final exams this year, but the war took away our right to education in every way.

We are facing the worst living conditions—insanely high prices for food, cleaning supplies, and medicine. We are displaced after losing our home. My father was injured while trying to find food; he suffers from a herniated disc in his back.

We are truly in need of help. Life here is almost impossible, and the conditions are extremely harsh. Please help me secure shelter, food, medical care, and at least a livable situation. A little from you can make a big difference.

I do. I think DB never got over the event and the grief plagued him since he dragged Herobrine in the nether, but he can't bring himself to experience any of it nor show it to anyone else, not even Jeb, in fear of absolutely breaking down.

He's scared to say the least. He has a glitch, just like Herobrine does. What if he were end up the same?

He never truly grasped what happened.

Notch and Jeb of course tried to explain it to him, telling him how Herobrine had gotten power-hungry, resentful and hateful towards Notch, but still he couldn't bring himself to actually understand it.

He fought Herobrine first hand multiple times and won't shy away from going against him in battle if the situation calls for it, but still, at the very end, he still can't understand what happened.

I mean, Herobrine was basically a big brother to him. He grew up with him by his side, he taught him how to fight, how to live with his glitch and use it for his advantage.

Herobrine wouldn't do that, he wouldn't just betray everyone for power, not Notch, not Jeb...not him.. out of all people... right?
