SpinDabi having a burger and fries date 😸😸

so at first this was just gonna be another uncolored sketch but this idea popped up in my head and i had to execute it

i kinda raged at first bc the shading was wonky, there are still things i’m eh about but it turned out pretty good!!!

also the burger being as big as spinners head is on purpose. spinner didn’t finish the burger, dabi did it for him. uncolored + closeups below the cut..

I was originally making it for a prompt on MHA amino and they were gonna be posing for some kind of vogue cover with the temp squad (toga compress and twice) on one cover and spinner dabi and shigraraki on another but I combined it and I thought it looked SUPER CUTEE

The League just kind of... assumed that Dabi had heat resistance. No one actually asked him. Why would they? Fire powers = heat resistance. Easy math. And those scars of his? Could’ve been from anything. A bad fight, some dramatic accident, a mad science experiment gone wrong. It’s a weird world. Stuff happens.

Besides, asking Dabi anything was a pain. His usual answers ranged from "Why do you want to know?" to a flat "Don’t be nosey."

Eventually, they all took the hint and stopped bothering him altogether.

Case closed, discussion over. Or so they thought.

Then came that particular mission. Some random heat-wave quirk user decided to challenge the infamous League of Villains.

Tomura, cocky as ever, stepped up with full confidence.

Shigaraki: "You’ve already lost. We have the strongest fire user on our team, and he’s not afraid of your stupid heat-"

Dabi: "I don’t have heat resistance."

Shigaraki: "He doesn’t have heat resistan-"

Shigaraki stopped mid-sentence, turning to face him.

Shigaraki: "What did you just say?"

Everyone stared at Dabi, who only shrugged like he expected them to already know.

Toga: "No heat resistance? But you-"

Dabi: "Don’t have it."

Twice: "Then how can you-"

Dabi: "Hurts."

Everyone fell silent. Even the enemy.

That was, until Twice and Toga started laughing like a bunch of brainless idiots.

So yeah... maybe it was time for Dabi to finally open up a bit. Only a bit, though.
