We’re finally back! It’s been 2.5 long months since we finished the first round of themes, but thanks to almost a dozen amazing episodes it feels like nothing more than a blink of an eye. We’ve decided to start this round off with something that also seems to have gone by in seconds. That’s right, so get your sunscreen out and get ready for: SUMMER AUS! Now’s the time to send our favourite squad on a well-deserved vacation to the Bahamas! Or have them stay in for a relaxed summer break at home. Perhaps one of them gets a fun summer job? Maybe they get a downright horrible one? Or they could be attending a festival? It’s all up to you!  As something new, we’d like to ask you to wait with sharing your creations until the end of the theme so we can get a lot of content at once. For this theme, posting starts on Friday, September 1st.

To keep you guys inspired despite having to wait so long, we’ll be posting various kinds of inspo posts from now and until next Friday. If you still feel like the theme is too broad, feel free to send us a request for a personalised prompt. The usual reminders apply: make sure you tag your work as #shaumondays in the first five tags and tag any triggers your work might contain. If you can tag any otps and brotps, that would also help us out with sorting! Don’t forget: if something goes missing, you can @ tag us, or send us an ask to let us know! As always, we want to see your original creations, so no reposting, please. If you have questions, drop us an ask here and remember we have an ao3 collection for all your fics if you want to add them or just take a look at previous creations. Now, get working! W E ‘ R E  B A C K  ! ! ! 

Season 2 went out with a bang and we already can’t wait for the next season to premiere. Unfortunately, the show won’t be back until 2018, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun in the meantime, right?

So we’re back with a ton of new themes for you guys to enjoy (and hopefully make some cool content for) while we wait. Not much has changed but by request, we’ve decided to mix things up a bit and we hope everyone will have an even better Shadowhunters AU Mondays experience than last time!

So what’s new?

The themes will be running for two weeks instead of one

There’ll be a scheduled time-gap for posting at the end of the second week

We’ll be making inspo posts several times during each theme

We’ll provide more specific prompts for those who are interested*

What about the regular stuff?

We decide the bi-weekly theme - you create content based on said theme

We reblog everything** onto the shadowhuntersaumondays blog

You can make as much or as little content as you want

You do not have to participate every week

You can make anything you want: fics, edits, gifs, playlists, fanart, etc.

* more info on how this works will come later this week ** we do not accept content featuring pairing that can be seen as incestuous, racist, homophobic, abusive, or otherwise problematic

The first theme will be revealed on Monday, August 21st
