Koumei is home. He was hand delivered yesterday, March 7th 2025.

I was hoping the bamboo piece was going to be small enough for a necklace but its too big, so now I am going to find someone to make me one small enough to wear as a necklace.

Rest in Peace my beautiful Kouchan! I will always love you and will always miss you. I hope the 14.5 years you spent on this earth with me was the best. I know Poppie, nee-nee, grandma Margret, and other family members are looking after you and other family pets on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

Life Update I guess

Hey everyone, I know its been a while since i actually posted something that wasn't just cat or a reblog.

Cat

Koumei is doing decently. Vet says he's doing well with the insulin and we hope he has another 5 years left in him before he goes to the rainbow bridge. The only thing is that he looks so old now, I swear in the last 2 months he has aged so much. I also have to bathe him regularly now since he won't do it himself to a decent standard.

He does turn 15 this year in on May 9th. I still love him to bits and will continue to take care of him until the end. It looks like one bottle of insulin (i think its 40ml) seems to be lasting about 6 months so that's good, its the needles we seem to burn thru since I have to give it to him twice a day.

Health

The brain tumor is still being observed by my doctors and it hasn't changed since it was found. It's still not cancerous. My weight has been increasing slowly but I still can't eat a lot of different food since it'll just exit my body 45-50 mins after eating it. Pasta has been a lifesaver. Same with beans. I started a new therapist so we are working on my anxiety, depression and fear of abandonment. I keep losing my teeth tho now. Since I cant keep proper nutrition in my system, its pulling from everywhere and my teeth have suffered the most, in the last year alone, I have to have 6 to 7 teeth pulled due to them being so decayed and they break so easily. I have had 3 dentists say I should just pull what I have remaining, might be able to keep a couple of my top front teeth, and go with dentures.

Work

Its Work, Lol well we just got a new manager in my section after our last one retired to move to Hawai'i to be with her grandkids. Our new manager just got promoted so she is still in training. I am still in cosmetics, altho recently I lost my co-worker since she got a new job at a bank and will only work flex hours now and will most likely be covering more in Jewelry then be in cosmetics. My fav time of the season is coming up, POG UPDATES (plan-o-grams) since it's time to transition from fall/winter colors to spring ones. It makes my brain happy to do these changes. I just passed my 9th year working here so that is exciting. Other Stuff Drawing has been a very slow and grinding process, I feel like I am stuck in a rut and can't do anything about it. I think a lot of it is my ADHD and autism and maybe depression, but i can open a WIP and stare at it and scream at myself in my head to JUST DO THE LINEART and I wont do a damn thing. -shrug-

My sister keeps bring home more dogs, we now have 3. Parker aka bork is still my fav tho lol The other 2 are cute but bork will always be my fav.

Parker, 4 years old, Pit bull / husky mix his nickname is Bork cuz he doesnt bark he borks Blue, about 1 year and 3 months old. German Shepard mix, his nickname is Gremlin becuz of his ears. Theory, maybe 4-5 years old? we arent sure, 95% malamute, 5% husky, she has a doggy DNA test to prove it. She is stunted so she is maybe 30lbs tops... My sister recused her from a home where she was in a small cage for most of her life. her nickname is theory beerie. her fav command is "BOING!"
