Mt. Arayat National Park Experience.
Tumblr media
THE MOUNT ARAYAT NATIONAL PARK
On February 8, 2017, we celebrated the 10th birthday of my cousin in the well-known Arayat National Park located in San Juan Bano, Arayat, Pampanga. We entered the park during lunch hours so that we only need to eat there, when we entered the resort and it was so crowded because of other tourists and Kapampangan alike that wants to chill out for a bit with their families. There are various types of delicacy for birthdays that my aunties and uncles prepared for us since we are an extended family and our family is huge, they prepared dishes like spaghetti, hotdogs on a stick, fried chicken, the popular Lumpiang shanghai, bbq’s, different kinds of fishes for the adults and many more.  After we swim my cousin blew his birthday cake and they conducted games wherein they will give prizes to kids and adults alike. After the games and swimming, we packed our luggage and food so that we can go home already because the sun is setting already. It was an exhilarating experience back then as a kid, especially the magnificent pool, beautiful scenery, playgrounds, 100 hundred steps, and many more. If you want an affordable vacation place that has pools and mountains, you should try this park for yourself and your family

Main Attractions
Before entering the park there is a road that goes uphill, it is the road for the treehouse famous for its scenery, for bikers that like to climb mountains, and people that like to jog for exercise.

When you enter the park, you will see a parking lot and a mural for the guardian or the diwata of the mountain named Maria Sinukuan. The park is famous for its pools, 100 steps of stairs to the mountain, and its guardian the diwata Maria Sinukuan.

The 4 pools in Arayat National Park.
- Most of the pictures are from the internet since it is a very long time ago and the pictures are lost from thousands of picture that are uploaded in facebook.
After eating, we kids rushed to the pools since we are so excited about swimming, there 4 pools in the park, first we explored the main pool, which for me is the kiddies pool since more kids are swimming in there than adults, there is also a grotto in there which has a saint in the center, I am not sure if it’s Mama Mary or not, also inside the main pool there are vendors that sell different kinds of “salbabida”, or lifesavers, life jacket.

After showering in the main pool, we go to the 2nd pool which has a bridge in the middle, wherein we only took pictures, we did not stay in there for too long since the pool is not full,

PS: Back then the pool was not full and crowded so we did not stay there for too long.
After taking pictures we directed our attention to the 3rd pool and for me, the best pool that has waterfalls and the only downside is that the water is very cold since it came directly from the mountain. The pool is very deep and you can see when you go there that the pool is very old because it is full of molds at the side, however, the management there did everything that they can do to renovate the pool. When we entered the pool, on the right side of the pool you can locate the waterfalls that have water that is super cold and it is good for taking a picture, and when you look at the left side you will see a kiddie pool, a 1ft deep pool for the kids.

The last pool that is in there is the 4th pool or the Olympic pool because of its size, however back then, it is not yet finished and we only had a glimpse of it since it is prohibited to enter the pool back then.

The 100 steps
Also one of the reasons that Arayat National Park is famous for. there is a saying that if you disturbed or say something that is bad the guardian of the mountain will push you in the stairs. When i tried climbing the stairs when i was a kid it was very hard and tiring and on the top there is a saint and there is a another road going into the mountain but kids are prohibited without the supervision of adults.
