She bit her lip. Nodded. She was pretty sure that was the right one this time. "Yeah, ah," she blinked. It was like time paused for a moment. It didn't. She thought. But it was a moment of motionless hours and the topic slipped her mind in the river. "Uh, sor... um," she furrowed her brow. Hadn't she been doing better? Or was this better? Was it remaining? "Where, uh..." She shook her head. "What, um, what..." why couldn't she think? What was...?
And then it clicked and she shook her head. "Right, uh, thank you," she spoke through clouds. She'd been doing well that morning. She swore she was. So why...?
It had been ages since Gwen has seen Alice. Since Gwen had seen anyone, actually. Guilt festered in her stomach, eating her alive as she tried to focus. To keep tethered to reality and do her job and let everything else go because it had been a month and she had vanished from the face of the earth and she had no right to expect friendship when she couldn't do the decency of showing up.
The only issue with that line of thought was that she didn't expect it. She just wanted it. There was a big difference.
She sighed and sat on the edge of a roof, staring up at the sky. It was a quiet night. A blessing, yet a curse. She wanted it to continue, it was in the public's best interest, but she craved a distraction as well.
The breeze was cool but gentle. The night was light. The world paused for the moment. Yet it also never did.
Few cars drove by, the sounds echoing up the buildings, quieted by the journey, but loud enough to bother.

While they had calmed down a bit from their last outburst, they still had to admit to themselves that they still occasionally kept an eye out for Gwen on the patrols, which was the only reason they had even noticed the white, blue and pink shape in the streets below.

Gwen nodded. Shook her head. She couldn't remember which one she meant to do. "It still wasn't... great. I, uh, I'll try not to do it again." She cringed. Trying wasn't good enough if you couldn't succeed. And Gwen never succeeded at this one.

Gwen shrugged. "That's fun. Always nice to meet people," She chewed on her lip, thinking without thoughts. "Uh, mentally. It's nothing. I've dealt with it before."
"Uh, I'm... I'm sorry that I kinda. Vanished. I should've let you know. Or not disappeared. Something." It was awkward. Maybe stilted. She hoped it didn't sound insincere.

Gwen shook her head, hesitating before pulling her mask off. It felt... bad. Her skin crawled with something that wasn't there. That never had been. A discomfort that came from herself more than Parasite. "No, you didn't. It's okay. I'm just... 0ff lately," she settled on. It wasn't really accurate. This wasn't unusual for her. It was just... wrong wasn't the right word. It wasn't how it was supposed to be? She didn't like that either.
So Gwen was off. Was right and wrong and normal and off. She was contradictory in all the worst but best ways as up was down and down was all that existed as she floated away.
That was a hard thing to explain. 'Off' was easy.
She shook her head as if it could dislodge the nothing that stuck to her skull.
"How, uh, how have you been?"

Gwen spun, eyes wide. Surprise gave way to fear, fear to excitement, to anxiety. The feelings flew by in a rapid stream, rushing through her veins before abruptly bending into something new and dissolving all together.
She smiled hesitantly, unsure as to how this would go. Anger would be more than justified. Questions as well. Most things, really. But that didn't mean she knew how to respond.
"Uh, yeah. Parasite. It's nice to see you again," she greeted awkwardly. It was like any thing she normally would have said abandoned her the moment she needed to use it. "I, uh..." She trailed off, struggling to find the words. To figure out what to say. How to say it.

Gwen could feel someone watching her, skin crawling in warning. It momentarily drenched her in freezing panic, whispering its alarm.
And then it was over and Gwen stood and glanced around.

[Right. Already an ooc post. Sorry for everyone I just @ ed, I figured you may want to know that I (spiritarachnid/space929) have a new account
I used to be @/spiritarachnid. You may have noticed that that has been deactivated. That was not a choice on my part. I woke up to it being gone with no email and never got a response when I wrote to Tumblr about it. The reason I made a new everything is both because I'm pretty sure I was completely shadow banned. You couldn't find me by searching my usernames for a while and I just felt like everything was going to get deleted if I kept using it. So I made a new one
Hope y'all still want to rp with me. Sorry again

Let's do this again. Again. Again? How many times do I have to do this? I'm Gwen Stacy from from E-65. I helped stop Spot. I went home. I lost touch with friends. Multiple times.
Now I'm trying to get better. Be better. So. Hi. Again.
[I'm back. Again. Completely different acc this time. Which is a story I will tell in a different post. In this one, I'm meant to introduce myself.
Hello! I'm the mun from @spiderhaze and my main is @space929. I haven't been roleplaying for long but I love it. It's fun
Not many rules here yet. Just be nice and I don't do any sort of romance on here. It'll be a bit chaotic while I get back into things, but I'm glad to be back
General warning: I talk about mental health and psychosis (I've had multiple breaks) often so blanket TW for allusions or explicts to that]
