Ana Mardoll works for Lockheed Martin and I lol’d

It’s been an extremely long time and I doubt anyone reads this anymore

But today Ana Mardoll was revealed as a nepotism hire working for Lockheed Martin.

And his (he transitioned!) locked twitter account apparently had tweets justifying it bc people with STEM experience can’t possibly get other jobs for companies that are not defense contractors.

Even in retirement, somehow, Melissa McEwan can inspire a ludicrous and undeserved amount of loyalty.

Let’s be real sweatys, Liss’s time was up. No one cared. She stopped being relevant (I mean she stopped being relevant post Howard Dean but I guess it’s more apparent now?)

Also can I tell you guys partially why I backed off from the site?

One day I was looking at one of the devotee’s websites and honestly I can’t remember which one. I think it was Portly D*ke. 

And she has this little irritating chat thing on her site.

I think she clued in on the visitor being me based off time stamps with posts and amount of time on her site because I was probably 1/1 hits that day. And she browbeat me by accusing me of stalking her and triggering old issues. By looking at her website. 

This was shortly after Ana Mardoll’s pathetic post talking about how traumatizing the very existence of this site was for her.

That’s how pathetic the contributors to Shakesville are. Even from a distance criticism inspired them to try and emotionally blackmail their readers and me. 

I’m sorry to say it did get to me in the end where like my emotional resilience wasn’t good enough to deal with a bunch of master manipulators and yes, every single fucking person on that site is a manipulator.

Oh and all of this happened FIVE YEARS AGO. I’ve barely update the site since all that shit went down.

But somehow, somehow, my/our collective hiatus was also a continued campaign of “stalking” and “bullying.”

In closing I’d just like to say to Dr Fictional Ass Character: Go fuck yourself. I’m glad that toxic cult of a “community” you assholes lived in is in stasis, if not totally dead.

MM has a piece up today (3/1) about how Jay Inslee is Doing It Rong with his all-climate-change-all-the-time POTUS bid (which from where I sit, seems obviously intended as more of a conversation-shifter than a serious effort to win) because POTUS candidates are garbage nightmares if they can't simultaneously solve everyone's problems everywhere, and also because the POTUS can't single-handedly stop climate change anyway, so why bother? So MM is getting mad because the New York Times and WaPo 'reporters' keep uncovering 'facts' that line up with speculations that she made months and even years ago! She told us at the time, "Trump wants to destroy NATO". It was obvious from his actions! That's how reporting works, right? You look at  news event and make assumptions about what people are thinking and then write them down and publish them. Right? Now the NYT is reporting that former aides are telling them that Trump repeatedly said in private that he wants to pull out of NATO, but this is not news because MM ALREADY TOLD US AS MUCH AT THE TIME IF YOU WERE ONLY LISTENING! JEEZ!

Melissa & Sarah Kendzior both sounded off recently on how it is Obama's fault that Trump is president now. On July 18 Melissa gave us this, which has been ridiiculed by a number of twitter folks.  Kendzior made the same claim in June & chimes in on July 18 to agree with Melissa about Obama's guilt.  They both say Harry Reid was the hero of that day, the only soul who saw the TREASON.  I will have to think a while about that one.  Harry Reid?   

Both Melissa and Kendzior remind us DAILY how they are experts on US politics & civic issues so this constitutional interpretation is particularly crazy, as well as racist.

The Shareblue group is pissed at Ocasio Cortez and other DSA or Justice Democrat-affiliated candidates,  many of them women and many are doing really well against Republican opponents..  Melissa, Leah; Kendzior, Caroline O;, that etire group has not supported Cynthia Nixon with one peep which makes me think their words are pretty scripted from above, from the DNC or David Brock.  Imani Gandy also went on a fit against AOC.  Their feminism is pretty conditional.

I'm sorry if this isn't the proper way to get a message to you, I've never commented on anything or sent a message on Tumblr before. I wanted to thank you for your extensive work on documenting Shakesville and for providing a place for those of us who were hurt by MM to come together and bond. I was a Shaker, a long time ago, and while I left around '10-'11, I am still sad and angry about the awful ways Melissa and cronies destroyed the site. It is very validating to know I'm not the only one.

Wow. Melissa McEwan tweeted something about male journalists getting the vapors from a female comedian (re: Melissa Wolf at WHCD). I asked her why qualify it as male journalists when there were plenty of female journalists (Maggie Haberman, Andrea Mitchell, Mika Brzezinski) also raising a fuss? McEwan's response was incoherent and defensive and then she blocked me.

There are so many layers of dumb here.  Does she expect to be known as a brainy feminist political writer while doing tabloid gossip? This is dumb, and mean.  She posted it 2 days after the March for Our Lives, when most of America was watching repeats of Emma Gonzalez' speech.  At first I assumed Emma on a giant screen was who she was referring to when she describes how she & her husband were 'dining' (do you ever say that you 'dine'?) at a chain restaurant when the image on the large screen tv made her pause her fork ......  

But nope, instead it's a play-by-play of a teenage smackdown by dance tunes, interpreted as a victorious battle in the war against misogyny.  wtf?  I don't know the guy at the next table who was supposedly 'destroyed' and neither does she, and it's disturbing she crows so righteously about how both she and her husband laughed, enjoying being in the know witnessing said teen male's anguish.  

It seems Shakesville's doyenne did not attend the March and instead posted pet photos.  

After the 'gravest day of my life' when Theresa May called out Putin about the Skripal poisoning, threatening WWIII, yesterday's news by UK labs that the poison cannot be traced to Russia and could have been made by various others has not been mentioned by MM!   Nor by Theresa May, Kendzior, or McElrath, oh well ho hum the Resistance does not have time to apologize or reflect, especially during the destabilizing jolt of a multi-millionaire hollywood couples' separation!

I lurk & read MM, Leah & Sarah Kendzior because frankly they blow my mind with their looney Russia conspiracy theories and the way they have interpreted feminism as 'I'M ALWAYS RIGHT & YOU ARE A DISGUSTING NOTHING IF YOU DO NOT SEE THIS'.   One of them came down heavily on me during the 2016 primary for disagreeing slightly with their characterization of HRC as Joan of Arc and ever since I've tried to figure out what is happening in US politics that these women are acting as they do.  That is a subject too large for this tumblr but just for today I thought you might be interested in what's going on in the McElrath world, from my admittedly limited viewpoint. 

I said in earlier that Leah was making $360 per month on Patreon but it turns out she only got $325 in pledges.  Then she was hired a week or so ago to be Communication director for Laura Moser, a controversial candidate for Congress in Texas.  Since then her twitter feed has included some Laura PR which looks to me, frankly, very staged and unconvincing; then again I don't live in Texas and perhaps this is necessary to attract voters?  I can't say but I would roll my eyes to vote for her.  She was supported by OurRevolution (a Bernie Sanders-influenced group) in the 1st primary but now claims she is totally a Hillary woman for the runoff.

I read around a lot last night & found there is a mixture of feelings about Moser: the Intercept did a couple of articles saying she had been wrongly targeted by the DCCC.  Another journalist, Robert Wheeler on Vice, has written that Moser is an 'extremely online presence' like HRC, meaning she has lots of slogans but not much policy or hands-on experience, is from an elite background, and kicked back lots of funds raised to her husband's consulting firm.

After the Houston Chronicle article Leah locked her twitter and wrote a long explanation of how she was being victimized by misogyny for telling the truth, etc. Today her twitter is unlocked and this post has been deleted. 

McElrath, Kendzior, and MM often describe themselves as the 3 pillars of truth-telling on the internet ... OK.  

Someone else who is a rabid HRC fan, Candice Aiston, was kicked off of twitter after too many rants against people who disagreed with her.  (She wrote a long defense on medium yesterday. )  I am hoping that this means MM and her pals will be less irritating and maybe dull their voices, but I bet I am going to be disappointed here. 

I've seen MM use the word 'Fuck' repeatdly in her twitter this week; often it's the only word introducing a (yet again) retweet of another article, or more ingenuously used as in 'Fuck. This.' We all say this word but seems to me that it's not a good choice for serious journalism.  Can't she express herself more skillfully?  As others on this site have said she's going the way of Glenn Beck or Howard Stern, using words to shock rather than delving deeply and deftly to show with words.  

I am really impressed by the Parkland teens and their use of social media.  I haven't read a 'Fuck' from them yet they harness their anger, the need for change, gender equality, and a love for all beings in such powerful ways.  These kids really can teach us a lot about how to use social media for good; I hope they continue.  No, they are not perfect either. 

On the Russiagate front, the Skripal daughter is recovering well.  More authentic journalists (Gareth Porter) say the Skripals were not poisoned by either Novichok or by Russians.  I think again we are being duped by Russiagaters' fury.  Sadly now Russia and the US/UK/Nato countries are intensifying the conflict by expelling diplomats and closing embassies; a truly dangerous move between 2 nuclear powers.  This is what really angers me about MM and her friends: they add to our chances of nuclear war by unskillful hate-filled accusations rather than looking more deeply and resolving disagreements diplomatically.
