Mechs, in general, do *not* inject pilots with enough pleasure stims to put them on the edge of climax. That would be unhealthy, dangerously distracting, and mech pilots *already* are known to struggle with addiction, neaural-link related neaurological diseases, and trauma, no need to make their lives even *worse* after the war with a *litteral addiction to killing people*

Mindfucker Georg, who killdozered' a construction mech while replacing half her bloodstream with dopamine and drugs, is a statistical outlier and should not have been counted-

Ive a pretty solid solution (besides the fact that estrogen is not, to my knowledge, a combat drug), namely that every mech is constantly on a baseline of enough estrogen to forcefem a horse

Yes!

The vision atm is to make a character creation system with pilots and mechs, inspired by ttrpgs like Blades in the Dark, Inquisitor, Lancer and games like armored core.

Also. A combat system to fight the mechs with. It will incentivise getting high on every drug imaginable, hacking, firing massive guns and moving incredibly fast. I’m using a D100 system, since it lets me add items and systems that have negligible effects that add up in concert.

Once it’s playable, and once I’ve playtested it to make sure it doesn’t crumple in two the second someone does something funny, I’ll release the rules on Tumblr as a pdf or something- then I’ll start working on story expansions, art, new mechs etc at put more polished versions on itch!Ofc that last bit’s a long way off, but that’s the goal!

As a huge fan of mech media, and someone who only got on Tumblr after finding @vexwerewolf ‘s posts and a certain incredibly blursed Lancer tier list by @lilygrim , I’m a massive fan of the weird, transhumanist queer-by-default and unbelievably anti-vanilla horny mechposting playbook this site operates on.

Someone should make a tabletop game about it.

My Avalon High Training Has Paid Off...

So in the new TNT series The Librarians: The Next Chapter, the immortal caretaker of the Belgrade Library Annex is called Mrs. Astolat.

Most people might overlook this. But if you know The Librarians lore and you know Arthuriana-related works like Avalon High, your antennae should absolutely go up.

(Spoilers below)

So, for context, The Librarian films have Excalibur has a major sentient artifact in the Library's possession.

On top of this, in The Librarians (2014), the Seattle Annex caretaker Jenkins was revealed to be Galahad, while the Big Bad of Season 1 was revealed to be Lancelot. Morgana also turns out to be roaming around in modern day.

Now, if you know your Alfred Lord Tennyson (or you know, read the original Avalon High novel), you know of the lesser-known figure Elaine of Astolat, aka the Lady of Shallott, who died from her unrequited love for Lancelot.

I first heard of the poem through Ellie Harrison (who became Allie Pennington in the Avalon High film) being named after Elaine by her parents, which... she understandably did not appreciate.

So, considering the number of Arthurian Legends characters that have turned up in this franchise, that last name can't be a coincidence.

But dang if it doesn't make me curious how Elaine of Astolat may have gone from a young, tragic unrequited lover to a no-nonsense middle-aged caretaker at a magical library. And I appreciate them digging into the lesser known figures since the legends do NOT have great female representation.

I look forward to finding out, if I'm correct.
