I'm just here to talk about lalazee, again. Did I mention I really like her work? Cause I do, if you didn't know. Did I mention I'm obsessed with everything that she's written and can't read any other fanfics thanks to her because she's THAT good? Yeah honestly fuck her for that. I'm reading her newest fic right and off the bat, the writing, the way she describes stuff from bakugous perspective is flawless like, I'm pretty sure, that's actually how he think yknow? And just how she writes in general, it's so good like so novel quality, and why isn't her stuff printed, my literature teacher would approve. But it's not like boring descriptive, it's more unusual, like she uses the most unexpected words to describe unexpected things. Do you understand what I'm saying? No? Then go read her work for yourself. And she's so FUNNY. SHES SO FUCKING FUNNY. I laugh so hard I forget I have my finals tomorrow. Oh. Oh I just realised I have my finals tomorrow. WELL THAT'S TOO BAD CAUSE I'M REREADING THIS SHIT ALLLLL NIGHT. I cannot stress how good the banter she writes is. I live for some good, flirty, sexual, sarcastic banter. And she spoon feeds me. I lick that stuff right up. And her writing makes me horny but that's besides the point. I just wanted to say that cause I want people to know she literally changed my life. On the list of things that changed the course of my life are listening to mindless self indulgence, reading skulduggery pleasant, watching anime, playing volleyball, discovering lalazee is UP THERE. Okay wait basically all of that came from me watching anime but still. I just want everyone to get on this hype train because she deserves is all. She is so incredible.

Oh, just in case I forgot to mention, I'm in love with lalazee.

Okay so my baby girl lala is such an amazing writer and in my opinion captures bkdks dynamic the best of all the fics I’ve read. She somehow writes gripping plots, leg opening smut and the most hilarious banter. Her character construction is incredible. Effortlessly funny and she clearly knows how to write. Okay now where to go with this. Rtwl has always been a more intense read. Especially brothers keeper it felt a bit…bitter. But not in the way it lacked plot but the author is so talented they always manage to evoke emotions out of me. I think this author wins really good story progression but then again all these authors write incredible plots. Their stuff usually feels more intense, maybe even gritty, but don't trust me on that because I honestly don't even know what it means :)

warschach definitely has a very distinct way of writing bkdk. I feel like their depiction of bkdk is a little more playful or lighthearted than the stuff with rtwl or lalazee but still constructs great plot and effortless humor. I don’t really know how to put it in words but bakugou especially feels a little more awkward and a little more modernised in their stuff. Yes modernised is the best way to describe it. So basically all the ‘extremities’ of his personality are toned down a little and his character kind of adopts the traits of your typical swag high schooler.

Let me start by saying: this story is genius. lalazee my babe has done it again. Its this short, sweet story of bakugou miraculously wooing ramen stall working sweetheart deku with his endearing taunts and death threats *sighs in awe*. I cannot stress how well she writes their relationship dynamic - bakugou acts like a prick but little does he know dekus a cheeky motherfucker who will show him up every time. This fic was basically all the rehab I needed for my crippling smut addiction, so it's practically as holy as jesus's shit (disgustingly holy).

WRONG! Reading this fic was probs one of the best choices I ever made, which isn't saying much at all! But thats not the point. Only hanahaki I ever read, only one I probs ever will. Love the way suffocatingspring writes but their depiction of deku is still a bit too fragile for my liking but wtvs I'm not complaining when they're doing all the work. Anyways, solid fic and its nice and slow burn but not really and steamy and so so angsty and yeah.

Now before anyone says this shit is furry, It really ain't. Just like a/b/o, I always avoided fics with any sort of shifter/hybrid/merman fics but alas, with age comes maturity and matured I have. Anyways, I really liked this. I thought it was pretty funny, good banter, top baku, flustered mess deku so ticks pretty much all my boxes. Definitely made one of my miserable nights less miserable.

I lied, here are some 100-300 pages fics that I still wanted to rec cause they are worth the read but aren't good enough to belong in the God Tier.

Canonverse - Idiot baku, Just as much of an idiot deku - Explicit

Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugou aren’t really friends. But they’ve also never been apart. Is their fate just to be intersecting lines – meet once, then drift apart forever?

OOOkay so I have some things to say about this one. I wish I could remember more of it so I could give you more reason to read it but honestly I couldn't even tell myself why I liked it so much. I've got a personal google doc which my only comment for this fic when I read it was "I just creamed" so if thats anything to go by...

I ditched this fic in the middle because bakugou got all pussy and I hate when he pulls that shit so I couldn't read on, but then I picked it back up in the future and bakuno became bakuhoe and fucked the brains out of izuku so I let it slide. All I really remember was them having hot phone sex, maddening sexual tension, funny banter and a good underlying plot too. So read it, maybe?

The Spell in Her Name by Merrywetherweather

Bakugou Katsuki returns home to Japan after his 3 year contract runs out with his agency in America. But Katsuki wasn't expecting Deku to already be living with someone.

Let me just establish one thing: I fucking hate the single dad trope. Now let me re-establish one thing: I fucking hated the single dad trope, until I read this fic. I know its a good one when I genuinely laugh out loud and boy did this fic have me cackling. Bakugou was nice, cocky and confident and knew how to get his sweet little deku flustered like it was his goddamn job. Hot. Ultimately cute fic: pretty good banter and characterisation!

Theres still a good plot, while still having the fic being focused on bkdks relationship. Sounds impossible? Well good luck telling that to lalazee. SUCH good banter holy fuck. Entire fic had me (s)creaming with how much sexual tension there was. Just perfect *chefs kiss*.

So I’m not actually usually into the whole “Band AU” thing. I think its cause I had a traumatic experience with a really bad fanfic that put me off it. Anyways, they’re both absolutely whipped for each other and again really good banter and “i’m never going to let you win but I’ll let you fuck me upside-down” sorta relationship dynamic and I LOVE IT. Also do NOT be fooled by the mature rating instead of explicit, there’s still enough smut in this to make it worth the wait.
