Underway

Currently signing my life away through a ton of paperwork, trying to make this house purchase a reality; have moved out of the old spot and residing at a temporary retreat while we dot our i's and cross our t's...it's exhausting af, but by the end of this month we'll finally be in our [new] home- at least a home that we now own.

So once we get moved in and settle down, then I'll begin on new art. I personally have got quite a bit of fixing to do on my living quarters but once I get it the way I want/need, I'll be a happy camper.

FINISHED the piece- my OC Prettygirl; I'm good with it...

Going to be taking a short minute away to try to wrap up this whole house hunting ordeal; once it's done and I've moved & set up again, then I'll be back.

Started inks on the piece! Got a bit of a [mental] break between house hunting this past weekend so I was able to focus and get more done on the piece...about to dive in MORE house stuff, so the progress will slow down again.

Current progress on the piece; hadn't had time to work on it throughout the week- between house hunting stress and day gig work, my mind hasnt been able to focus...in fact I've been sliding in bed a little earlier than normal.

The mental stress has been taking its toll on me physically

Started on this yesterday(I nixed the other piece; will come back to that concept and start again) and already I'm happy with my line work...birthday weekend continues!

Turn 52

It's been a minute since I posted; I was trying to figure out the new tablet; been working on a new piece, but my progress has been slowed down by another issue- we were planning to extend our lease on the rental we're currently in, but the owner decided to sell...we're at the point where we're tired of moving/renting, so we decided to BUY(a home)

Just got approved for the financing; going to look at prospects this weekend(which also happens to be my birthday weekend)...I feel good- coz I'm finally moving in a direction I want to go. Things are happening fast & it's kind of scary, but I'm trying to stay ahead of it.

Got in the new tablet- hooked it up, no wonky drivers, and the stylus works! I'm a happy camper...for now.

Going to perform some scribbles on it with Clip Studio; I most likely wont get to start on the new piece until towards the weekend- I got a whole nother thing I need to sink energy into right now to ensure that it starts out well...

Reprieve

So I'm ending the Huion issue- I've spent a whole week not being able to work on my art; I green lit the XP Pen tablet...it should be arriving in a few days.

As for what I'm going to do with the old Huion tablet? I dont know- most likely trash it...if I cant get it to sync with the drivers on my laptop(and old laptop) I'm pretty much willing to bet it won't sync with anyone's computer...I mean I may give it to some spot that recycles electronics, but I'm pretty much at the point where I'm not gonna worry about it anymore.

Okay, time to announce it properly: Horrible Girls is an artbook filled with 54 horror-themed pinups inspired by retro comics and ads! I had SO MUCH fun with this project, I hope you enjoy it at least half as much as I did haha

Welp

The cord that I purchased didnt work- still cannot get the drivers to connect; I think this is it for my tablet...SO I'm in "get new tablet" mode.

Been looking at this XP Pen tablet and also asking if there are other artists who have this particular tablet and if they are good with it- the XP Pen Artist 22.

The biggest issue with my former tablet was the drivers being solid- when it was working it was good, but every once or twice a year the drivers would wonk out and disconnect...also not a big fan of the 3 in 1 cable hogging up a number of ports on my laptop. I tried hooking the tablet back up to my old laptop, but the result was still the same.

I emailed the support department, but I have very little faith that they can fix this issue...

Cord update

The cord has arrived I'm gonna pick it up tomorrow morning, hook it up when I get home, and hopefully I should be back in business to start on some art stuffs over the weekend...

The Road Back...

So got the cord ordered- it should arrive by Wednesday...

Now I can get back to focusing on other stuffs

UPDATE

Found out my USB part on the 3 in 1 cord is GONE- which is why the laptop isn't sensing it(AND why the stylus isn't working)...so I gotta get a new one.

So the new piece is gonna have to wait for a minute.

Ugh...

My Huion driver disconnected from my tablet and I'm about to go insane over here trying to fix it. For some crazy reason Windows is reading my tablet as a monitor through the HDMI splitter and I think this is affecting it to the point where it's conflicting with the drivers...

It's gonna be a LONNNNNNG weekend.
