In light of recent chapters, my headcanons stay so surprisingly strong what the flip

Design Notes:

This design is inspired by Valak the Nun with some other aspects pulled from Catholic Priests.

It’s still the first draft, so some things might change later on.

In my headcanon, the present-day Imu is being posssessed by The Devil himself through a Faustian Pact that they made 800 or so years ago.

Facial expressions are neutral and impassive as much as possible.

The chains around their waist are mainly for aesthetic purposes

They always wear a veil or a hood. In my headcanon, the sunlight is their greatest weakness. The “light” that was flooding the Room of Flowers, where they are always in, is artificially made from the Eve Tree.

Whenever they are wearing a veil, shadow engulfs their body as an extra layer of protection for their skin.

Lore:

Evie could always spot the monsters hiding in human skin, but pretending not to keeps her alive. She’s sworn off using her gift—choosing a quiet life, sending money home, and keeping her head down. Evelynn “Evie” Bagumbayan

Age: 25 years old

Species: Human

Occupation: Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), Live-In Nanny for the Jones Family

Evie is the first-born daughter of seven children from the Bagumbayan Family in the Philippines.

She dreams of becoming a teacher, but Evie had to give up pursuing college in order to support her impoverished family and take a contract work in the US.

She has some knowledge of dealing with farm-related jobs thanks to her parent’s background as farmers. At the same time, she’s also well-versed in the Philippine mythos and witchcraft due to her paternal grandfather being an albularyo (witch doctor).

Due to her lineage, Evie possesses the unique ability to see spirits and see through the disguise of any types of mimics.

Is in the constant edge of mental breakdown (she needs a looong break from dealing with monsters (both kids and cryptid alike))

Adam Youngblood

Real Name: ████

Age: ███████

Species: Mimic, type: ███████

Occupation: SPEARS agent, Occult Specialist and Extermination Division

“Adam Youngblood” is merely a pseudonym that Adam had picked up to conceal his real identity.

Adam has Native American origins.

Given his ability to perfectly mimic and shape shift into another person, it is unclear whether his current appearance is his or not.

He’s a practicing cannibal but in a way that he targets more occult species like him than human.

He’s sworn off to never target civilians unless he’s proven they are guilty of a crime (by basically witnessing them commit it)

He’s well-versed in all sorts of occult creatures as it’s his job to identify and exterminate them if they pose immediate danger to the society. He’s also well-versed in witchcraft and sorcery, though he barely uses them recently in favor of using straight hands.

Disclaimer: These characters and my story is not a reliable source to learn about spirits and creatures of various origin (such as Indigenous and Latin mythos). I merely took inspiration from their folklores and created my own spin that suits the type of story I want to tell.
