I think it’s kind of silly and unhelpful to characterize romantic attraction as a discrete, specific feeling that people experience and express in consistent ways across life stages and cultures. That’s just. Not even possible.

There aren’t clear, bright, universal lines between friends and lovers! Many romantic relationships come out of friendships, and you don’t have to be able to put your finger on the place where one turned into the other. There isn’t going to be a test.
