Love that the DA:V protagonist is called Rook.

In chess, the Rook is the only other piece outside the Queen that can checkmate an enemy king by themselves. The role of the Rook is often to support the movement of your other pieces & those who play the Rook the most effectively tend to win. That, and the Rook is often tucked into the corner at the start of the game, waiting for the pieces to settle onto their squares before receiving attention. ♟️

During the period the other day when the official Dragon Age YouTube account was dropping snippets of info in the live chat, among other cool bits of info such as 'Inky is returning', there were also these lil blurbs about the 7 companion characters. ◕‿◕ some of them have some different info to what was shared here on the official DA website and here in the EA press release. So many people posting about the Dragon Age 4 concept art are completely missing this gem.

This guy leaning on his sword, telling some sort of behemoth to give him a minute while he catches his breath is the most Dragon Age nonsense I have ever seen. This is the kinda crap Hawke would pull.

i say this with nothing but adoration for both but it’s going to be really funny our antivan crow companions going from “random elf bought from a brothel by a rapidly declining house, immediately tries and fails to kill you” to “lucanis dellamorte, personally trained by his grandmother the first talon herself, the mage killer, the demon of minrathous”. your antivan crow you got from a shelter vs your best in show prizewinner
