Every time I find out about yet another wlw tv show cancellation through social media, it feels like my head's just been held under water for 5 minutes.
I don't know why, it feels like this is something I should've been sat down for, gently patted on the knees as I'm being eased into the information that Paper Girls is cancelled on a cliffhanger, or Warrior Nun is cancelled on a cliffhanger, or Willow is cancelled on a kind of cliffhanger that still had two more books to tell, or that A League of Their Own is cancelled but at least you'll get four rushed final episodes as a bare minimum 'we couldn't bother to finish this story' consolation prize.
It's funny, because despite the disappointment, I always always expect it. It's always, "Oh! They have a three season plan!... Oh, wait.", because they won't get there, they never do.
I don't know.
I hope Disney+, Netflix and Prime go bankrupt or something.
Thinking about how Dale, who pissed in somebody's soda bottle and readily waved a gun to someone's face, loved Jay so so much. Jay who is soft spoken and sweet and too gentle for his own good, the opposite of everything Dale is.
Jay was his little brother. He loved his little brother.
Her confession to Jade was just so ARRRHHHH. It was so sweet and awkward and you could tell how hard it was for Kit to honestly express herself, even with the truth plum.
It just shows such depth to her character, that she'd casually be able to kiss Jade when she's about to run off, but when it comes time to actually express herself and put herself out there, she's awkward and anxious and scared. I mean, the girl was on the verge of TEARS.
I just want everybody to know that I'm really excited for The Last of Us HBO series, and I can't wait to see Bella Ramsey as Ellie. I think she's wonderfully cast, and I can't wait to see her unique portrayal.
Anybody who's pissy about the fact that she "doesn't look like Ellie" can fuck right off. She's beautiful and I will cherish her as Ellie, just like I treasure Ashley Johnson as Ellie, too.
