The fact that Sour Sharons don't see that Sharon Carter is in fact absolutely a racist is sad and disheartening. No, she's not screaming racial slurs or leading lynch mobs. Sharon Carter's racism is of the more dangerous, insidious, systemic variety. She's the kind of white woman who weaponizes her privilege and power. In the comics, she keeps POCs like Sam in Riri down. In the MCU, she's involved in human trafficking. Stop idolizing Sharon. She is a racist and supporting her is dangerous.

I am glad to see Sharon Carter in the MCU again…

Which is something I never thought I’d say, but:

She had very little screen time, yet it was established, in canon, that Sharon Carter is a villain, just as anyone of sense always knew.

Meanwhile, Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff finally got her overdue solo movie.

Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie have been set up for larger, continuing roles as heroes headlining the next Cap movie.

And the woman and character Sharon Carter fans hate most all—Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter—is back and will continue to be a part of the MCU for years to come.

All of this happened despite Sharon Carter fans spreading lies and hate about all the above actors and characters for years. Yes, I’m glad to see Sharon Carter again. She and her fans have reaped what they’ve sowed: being villains in canon.

So Sour Sharon Carter Fans....

Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn’t Emily VanCamp have been announced at Comic Con, if she was playing any significant role in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier? Because I saw Daniel Brühl being formally listed as a cast member, but nothing on EVC.

Also....spoliers.....but a young and beautiful Peggy Carter, who strongly resembles Hayley Atwell, is going to be making an appearance in the comics. Comics that are more and more reflective of the MCU. Guess what that likely means? 

And one more thing, Peggy’s going to be in the What If series. But again, there was no mention of Sharon. 

Read the writing on the wall already. We won. Sharon Carter is finally being thrown out like the shit she is.

Then you probably shouldn’t be following her tags at all. EVC is talentless and unprofessional and Sharon Carter is a travesty. Anyone posting in those tags otherwise is lying.

I actually kind of hope EVC gets a part in F&WS (a very, very small part with no lines.) Mainly because I want her to do interviews and try to explain away the fact that Sharon knowingly (and Sharon would have known!) kissed her Uncle Steve at his wife's funeral. I also want Emily to get booed on a red carpet. Her fans lied about it happening before, but EVC was so horrible I say we should do it this time around!!!!

Now, now, anon. EVC may be a horrible person, but she’s still a real person and doesn’t deserve that. 

However, it would be quite a trick for her to backpedal now after defending Staron so fervently. I agree that might be worth watching.

How was EVC unprofessional?

It’s a long list, anon, but I will try to be brief. She was so difficult to work with that Chris Evans, who gushes about everyone he’s ever worked with, couldn’t say a single nice thing about her. So, gentleman that he is, Chris didn’t talk about her at all ever. 

Vancamp was also rude to reporters, snapped at Evans during an interview, and had to be removed from doing the press junket on Team Cap and added to Team Ironman because she couldn’t get along with her colleagues. 

For Stan and Mackie’s sake more than anything, I hope the EVC rumors are false. They shouldn’t have to work with someone as untalented and unprofessional as her.

For Anthony Mackie's and Seb's sake, I hope the EVC rumors aren't true. She was horrible for Chris Evans to work with and I don't want Emily inflicted on those wonderful men!!!

Inflicted is the perfect word, anon. The only people who could tolerate her in the MCU were the ones that didn’t have to work with her. EVC should be booted out of the industry for unprofessionalism for sure.
