There's a new vigilante in New York City.

They're around Peter's age, seventeen, maybe eighteen. With white hair and neon green eyes.

What gets his attention most of all, though, is the same thing that has gotten everyone's attention.

On Phantom's back are brilliant white peacock wings. The back striped with royal purple, the underside speckled with dots like stars and eyespots that seem to move and blink in the same purple.

The final feather of each of his wings blends into fire. Burning bright and lighting up everywhere he goes.

A Phoenix.

Phoenixes don't exist, is the thing.

They can't.

Someone can only become a Phoenix if they're a canary that survives what was supposed to kill them.

Which isn't possible.

And yet.

Getting inspired to write is actually really easy! All you need to do is be the busiest you've ever been in your entire life and as far away from a computer as humanly possible. Hope this helps 🥰

Nothing will dispell the "the curtains were just blue" myth faster than writing something yourself, because the amount of pretentious symbolism i am putting in my silly little fanfics is ridiculous. I mean SO much with these words, literally every single one of them. This fic has twenty five typos and zero correct uses of punctuation but if there's curtains you bet your ass I put thought into what colour they were.

Do you like writing? Are you an MCYT fan? Do you sometimes struggle with getting that one character's dialogue to sound just right?

Well, I have a solution:

Echo's MCYT writing cheat sheet doc!

Featuring notes on 80+ CCs ranging from Hermitcraft, Empires SMP, and the Life Series to QSMP, this Google doc has now been in the works for nearly two years (since November 2021!), currently comprises 18k+ words, and still receives tweaks and updates pretty much every day.

Contents of each CC's section on the doc (which are in alphabetical order!) include:

Commonly used words/phrases - adjectives and adverbs! Exclamations! Filler phrases and words! and other turns of phrase that make their speech distinct from others

Sentence structure - including transcriptions of example sentences that help get an idea of how exactly someone tends to say (and stumble over) their words!

Interaction with others - do they use nicknames? Which ones? What little phrases do they tend to say in conversation?

Typing - how do they type in Minecraft chat? What emoticons do they use? Do they send one long message, or several short ones? Should it be all lowercase? Do they use apostrophes? and more, with example screenshots!

In-game movement - how do they move their cubito? Do they shuffle around on the spot while talking, or stand still to look someone in the face? How expressive are they? Do they shift for emphasis, or nod? etc!

and other random characterisation notes - any fun facts about their character that you might want to keep in mind while writing!

There's also some bonus content outside of the specific character sections - links to general writing resources, recaps and summaries and quotes from the series the CCs on the doc have been involved in, as well as notes, conversation transcripts and clips I've compiled for some specific character dynamics!

(Important disclaimer: This isn't a 100% comprehensive guide - I'm just one person, and this is entirely comprised of notes I take while watching, so it's never going to be perfect or fully accurate. It also varies a lot on its level of detail for each CC, because I watch some people more than others, and in the case of QSMP there's language barriers involved, too.)

But I do think it can be pretty helpful. So if you're struggling, maybe consider giving this doc a try - you might find something useful inside! <3

Okok I have a lot and some of them have reasons and some are just because I like it.

Parrot therian Grian is one I've written about multiple times and love. Same with dragonkin Martyn.

I also loveee werewolfkin Ren (sometimes I like the idea that he's a dog hybrid but also just Regular Guy who wears clip on ears and tail to help with species dysphoria.)

Aviankin e1 Scott, he decorates his elytra with shed owl feathers to look like feathery wings.

Cow therian e2 Jimmy, I like to think he makes fake horns and glues them onto his hat. He also likes to wear darker colored shoes to look like hooves.

Back to Grian again I like the idea of parrot therian Grian becoming a Watcher just to get wings and then dipping immediately after (I actually have a fic in my docs with this concept I've been working on occasionally)

Elfkin e2 Scott. He wears those fake elf ear things that you can get on Amazon or Etsy (that I also have to get for myself)

Dryadkin Cleo, she likes to decorate her hair and skin with different plants to give the effect that they're growing from her

Cervitaurkin Gem, she makes or gets an antler headband and/or a deer ear headband

Goat and butterfly therian Doc, he likes to add different modifications on him for all of his kintypes (he also makes things such as mechanical wings or tails etc for the other alterhuman members of the server)

You've gotten me into the idea of humankin e1 Joel and e2 Lizzie it's such a fun idea

Griffinkin Wels and wyvernkin Hels. (Specifically Warcraft wyverns) because I think them being the opposite kind of otherkin would be funny. You get cloned and not only is he evil his kintype is the "opposite" of your own.

Endermankin Xisuma, I don't have any reasoning I just like it

Glarekin Bdubs for pretty obvious reasons. I also think it'd be fun if he was glarekin AND phantomkin. He has to sleep once the sun goes down but You Also Have To Go To Sleep (<- more or less based on my own phantom headcanons where they just try to get you to sleep and that's why they attack when you don't sleep for a while.)

Harpykin False because I think it'd be cool. Her harpy kintype would resemble an eagle
