Folklore is the album I feel most connected too. I’m here for the aesthetics!! I’m here for the folk, the tales, the fairytale and magically feeling, the artworks. It speaks volumes to me and all I can do is cry because of it.
It’s reaching out for me, pulling me from a deep deep deep valley, we’re I’ve been stuck for over a year.
It’s amazing how this albums brings back a little bit of myself. Piece by piece, I’m slowly starting to feel myself again. I wanna create again, my creativity slowly creeping back into my veins. I’m planning photo shoots with fellow swifties. I even wrote a new chapter for my book. And the first sketch for a painting is done
I can’t be thankful enough. For her, for this album, for coming at the right time, as I was slowly loosing myself even more. Thank you!

I know some people think illicit affairs is part of the teenage love triangle instead of August. But hear me out...
I think illicit affairs is a part of a whole other triangle. I think it’s connected to the last great american dynasty and mad woman.
I think mad woman is the woman Rebekah’s pov. She talks about being seen as a mad woman. the last great american dynasty talks about a town that outcast a woman who’s mad and crazy.
But in mad woman she sings
What a shame she went mad. No one likes a mad woman. You made her like that
And
And women like hunting witches too. Doing your dirtiest work for you. It's obvious that wanting me dead. Has really brought you two together
To me it speaks about a woman who’s man is having an affair. Which I think he eventually ends (as heard in the lyrics of illicit affairs “Don't call me "kid," don't call me "baby". Look at this godforsaken mess that you made me”.) Somewhere he must have died as in TLGAD says his heart gave out
It may be a long stretch but somehow I feel like they are connected

Okay, one last thing xD
I just loooooove invisible string
To me it feels like she is giving us an inside look of the relationship of her and Joe
My favorite lyrics are:
Bad was the blood of the song in the cab. On your first trip to LA (bad blood?)
Bold was the waitress on our three-year trip. Getting lunch down by the Lakes. She said I looked like an American singer (this is getting me excited for the song the lakes!!!)
Were there clues I didn't see? (On one hand I feel like she is joking to us as we missed so much Easter eggs or we see Easter eggs in everything xD. Wait, what if we missed Easter eggs about folklore???)
A string that pulled me. Out of all the wrong arms, right into that dive bar. Something wrapped all of my past mistakes in barbed wire (I loooove the bridge. It’s so romantic!! And this part makes me think about delicate)
For the boys who broke my heart. Now I send their babies presents (Joe (Jonas) and Sophie!)

The teenage love triangle Taylor talks about is Betty and James who cheated on her
Cardigan: Betty’s pov
August: the girl James is cheating with
Betty: James’s pov
Here is why:
In August she sings “Remember when I pulled up and said "Get in the car"”. In Betty she sings “When she pulled up like. A figment of my worst intentions. She said "James, get in, let's drive"”. Connecting the two together
In Betty she also sings “Standing in your cardigan” and “I was walking home on broken cobblestones.” connecting it to Cardigan. As in Cardigan she sings “High heels on cobblestones. When you are young, they assume you know nothing”. With this I feel she’s almost saying as if you don’t know your significant other is cheating on you because you’re to young.
I love how she is giving us all the sides of the story!

“I always remember having this fight with a random dude who claimed that ‘straight white men’ were the only true innovators. His prime example for this was the computer… the computer… THE COMPUTER!!! THE COM-PU-TER!!!
Alan Turing - Gay man and ‘father of computing’ Wren operating Bombe - The code cracking computers of the 2nd world war were entirely run by women Katherine Johnson - African American NASA mathematician and ‘Human computer’ Ada Lovelace - arguably the 1st computer programmer”
- Sacha Coward
Also Margaret Hamilton - NASA computer scientist who put the first man on the moon - an as-yet-unmatched feet of software engineering, here pictured beside the full source of that computer programme. #myhero
Grace Hopper - the woman that coined the term “bug”

Just give me the rest of the story dammit! I need to know how they became enemies, how Character A is fighting for Character B. How does this end? TELL ME!! Please
Character A tilting Character B’s chin up to get a better look at their face and the evidence of the fight. A delicately thumbs away the streak of blood by B’s mouth, saying nothing as they examine it. After a brief pause, B’s heart skips a nervous beat as A looks them dead in the eyes. Their voice is quiet and tense, their anger barely restrained.
“Who did this to you?”
