Here’s a very personalized & a lil fancy surface anatomy lesson for y’all. As the center point of the #face the #nose plays a large role in our facial symmetry. If the nose is crooked or poorly proportioned it ruins the golden proportions & the balance of our face. While considering the aesthetics of the nose it’s important to keep in mind certain factors. First thing look at the angle at which the radix meets the glabella, the ideal angle for females should be around 120 degrees and for males 115 degrees. Rhinon is the point where the nasal bone meets the nasal cartilage, this junction point in many cases shows a bump on side profile. The Supratip break is the point where the minor alar cartilages meet the two lateral & septal nasal cartilages, in some cases this junction appears as a depression or groove. A straight dorsum of the nose (radix, rhinion, supratip break and nasal tip) free from any bumps or grooves is considered attractive especially when we look at the profile of the face. Tip defining point & infratip are notably important in determining the ideal angle for a well shaped nose. The optimal angle between lips & nose for females is considered to be 95 to 105 degrees & for males 90 to 95 degrees.
