A psychiatrist by the name of 名越康文 (Nakoshi Yasufumi) played Little Nightmares 2 and gave an interesting analysis, so I will summarize his words and share them with you.

First, Nakoshi had this to say about Hunter.

"He is extremely frightened. A normal hunter doesn't set a lot of traps, so many that they fill the whole ground. He doesn't set traps because he wants prey. He is afraid that someone will come near his house. It's not mean-spirited."

He also analyzed the teacher this way.

"When she plays the piano, the melody starts out bright but gets darker and darker. So she stops playing and writes a new melody on the sheet music. Then she plays brighter music. But it gets darker and darker again. So she writes a different melody again.

She would really like to play dark music. But she can't do that. Why, perhaps ...... she has been strictly educated by her parents since she was a little girl. They told her to behave, to be a woman. She has been repressed all her life. Her attitude of punishing her students shows it.

She is really an artist, but she has to carry the identity of "teacher" for the rest of her life, even though she has the fire of passion in her heart. She must live in that prison. She thinks so.

She can't move from that school. But she wants to go outside. She wants to be free. That's why her neck will stretch as far as it will go.

Finally, she stretches her neck long, long enough to catch Six and Mono, and only her head goes outside. If only she could touch the outside world a little more, maybe ...... she could go back to being a little girl and find her true self. But in the end, she went back to jail."

I used her sketches as key frames 🦐 Mono and Six are very dear to me and I wanted to try animating them, even though I haven't animated anything in a very long time. I had lots of fun, but I'm buying them some shoes, I refuse to animate toes ever again 💀
