I simply want to say that I like Jauffre (and the fact that they made him look badass in the remaster). This guy is a freaking grandmaster of blades and you don't earn the title just like that so he's clearly skilled both manually and intellectually (and don't mention the amulet, without it the game would be lame xD). He used to be in Uriel's personal guard and then retired to live as a monk but when Martin appears he decides to fuck the retirement because the world needs him, he's the closest person to guide the new emperor now because of his experience and knowledge and he wouldn't just let him be. He also knows Martin from the baby, as he was the one to deliver the boy somewhere safe and make sure to check on his progress, so now we also have father-son vibes. I bet he is the one to teach Martin sword skills. Strict but also soft type man

In Fields of Ruin you can occasionally meet one of the characters from the book, Gullik Oddsson, near Piles of Stones (Hero Challenge) and pay respects to his fallen friend - and here I'm not going to spoil but it's so damn sad :')

Martin looks like he’s about to burst into tears at any moment which imo is a very good development. He went from living quietly spending most of his time reading books to being forced to get a full time job. He smiles like you just asked him if he’s okay

I'm sorry but Martin's new model doesn't feel like him anymore. I've always imagined him as Sean Bean from the second photo if Oblivion had better graphics and not like that. His eyes are creepy and the voice doesn't even fit anymore. I like the rest of the remaster but they fucked up the most important NPC! (even Uriel manages to look great)
