I also heard something about a possible writer's strike. Would that cause GMW to not be picked up? After hearing about Sabrina's new tour, I think another season may not be in the cards. I'm really disheartened.

I just read a few articles about it. The economy is just horrible right now 😑I’m hoping this won’t affect GMW. I think MJ would still want to tell his story. This is bad news for shows in production. It looks like it depends on the status of each project, whether a tv show, video game or film. The strike hasn’t started so far. But I’ll keep an eye on this.

So you're telling me there's people with connections to the networks that are 100% sure Girl Meets World is coming back? How can they be so sure??

Several of the theorists I talk with are 100% sure. They are not part of the brain trust campaign leaders - with connections. The theorists believe MJ is doing everything he can to get the show back, and I agree with them. I’m trusting the silence for now, and staying up to date on GMW news from the brain trust.

As of right now, my gut feeling is that GMW won't come back. Idk why. I've ALWAYS had hope that a network would pick it up, but now I just really don't think it's gonna happen. What's changed? How can I regain hope?

Keep in mind that MJ is definitely working to find a network for his show, and his silence right now is good news. I don’t think he’s the type of person to leave his audience hanging. MEBBS made a good point that Hulu has a lot going on right now with hiring new employees. Also, neither Hulu nor Amazon have rejected the show. And, it’s still a fresh topic. These are all good things. I talked with some theorists this weekend who definitely believe that the show will find a home. I still believe in Pluto. ☺️❤️

Is it a bad thing if our campaign goes beyond 3 months? Does that mean there's probably some sort of issue? (Since all other shows that have been saved would have been saved by now.)

I also sent this to the brain trust, but I’ll answer it too. Every campaign is different, so it’s hard to compare them. In this case GMW is trying to find a network, and they’ve got Disney, a big company, to buy the rights from. But they’ve also got a dedicated producer, fandom and the majority of the cast is still supporting the campaign. All good signs. Hulu’s currently changing a lot of their employees as well. All important facts to consider about the length of the campaign. In my opinion it won’t be a bad thing. But I am hoping MJ will at least post an update by that time.

MEBBS: The specific issue depends on what platform it is.

You and me both! If it ain’t happening, I hope the twitter thing MJ lowkey promised back in January is on deck. For now I still have my fingers crossed for a rebirth elsewhere, but we ARE rounding the corner on three months since the DC hammer came down.

Still, no news is good news until there’s news!

When you say "we ARE rounding the corner of 3 months," is that a bad thing? There's no actual deadline right? That was just his prediction?

Yeah, there’s no actual deadline per se so it’s not necessarily inherently good or bad that we’re at about three months. For all we know talks are still happening somewhere.

But I think it’s something that ought to be acknowledged if we’re being realistic, because if we hit the four month mark with nuthin’…I mean, maybe give it till the upfronts in May after which I’d love to be pleasantly surprised but wouldn’t expect anything.

Nobody’s lined up any real conflicts yet, so that’s still a good sign, and I DO think production will tell us if/when it’s time to stop hoping, so it’s also a good sign that they haven’t. For now I’m still on Team No News is Good News. ☺️

So do we think Hulu is the interested network? That would slow things down. That makes a lot of sense.

It is a possibility. Since neither hulu or amazon have openly rejected the show, it’s possible that they’re both interested, but hulu changing its content chief makes a big difference. That’s why Nina posted about the sneak attack :) I think it’s a great opportunity.
