I have never in my life been an infidelity enjoyer in fics but every time frank langdon cheats on his wife with mel in a fic i am kicking my feet and running in circles

Thinking about how one of The Pitt’s central messages is that sometimes all you can do to support someone is to witness someone’s pain and decide to stay, even if it gets ugly or otherwise difficult to face.

Each character is saying, “Here I am. This is me at my worst.”

And then we see another character look at them and say, “I’m here for you. I care about you. I love you.”

We see this with Robby to Jack, Dana to Robby, Robby to Dana, Frank to Mel, Jack to Cassie, Dennis to Robby, Dana to Heather, Robby to Heather, etc. etc. They all reach out their hands to give and receive help, even though they all suck at asking for help! They do it because they all have love in their hearts! This is a show about love!

Langdon being happily married but unable to refuse Mel anything. Langdon taking her virginity because she asks him to and after that he’s pretty much cooked because now she’s planting kisses on his lips at WORK and sitting in his lap and he can’t say no to her cuz that’s his baby. He still has a ring on his finger. Everyone is alarmed.

An AU where Abby is fighting for full custody of the kids so Frank and his best friend Mel decide to get married to bolster his chances

Need Mel and Langdon to be in an emotionally codependent relationship despite the fact they’re “just friends”. I need them living close to each other, going in and out of each other’s houses like it’s nothing, having family days out, scheduling dates so they get some me time away from everyone else.

And this goes on for years.

They’re literally wrapped around each other on the sofa, sharing ice cream from the same tub whilst Langdon goes on about how boring dating has become, how he feels like he should give up because he’s not getting anywhere.

Mel agrees because the effort she has to put in to schedule her own love life around her work and Becca and time with Langdon.

And suddenly Langdon frowns because his last few dates said a similar thing about Mel and so he asks her if she thinks it’s weird they spend so much time together. To other other, maybe she replies but it’s nice to have someone to do go through everything with.

They hit the bottom of the tub and Langdon sits up, pressing his fingers to his eyes with a pained expression. “Mel, have we been dating this entire time?”

And Mel scoffs because no - they literally go on dates with other people. It’s not like they sleep together.

But Langdon informs her that they do - actually sleep together - and maybe that’s why dating other people isn’t working because he has everything he wants in Mel.

Everything that he’s known to be true suddenly feels futile so he shuffles closer to Mel and pulls the spoon out of her hand before placing his hands on her knees. “Mel…I think dating sucks because we don’t actually want to date other people. I think we’re stupid, beyond clueless but if you wouldn’t mind I’d really like to kiss you right now.”

When they eventually announce to everyone that they’re dating, everyone looks at them as if they’ve grown two heads because yeah obviously you guys have been dating for years now.

And Mel and Langdon can’t be bothered to correct them because honestly, they’re all right

Can someone write a fic where Mel can't find her loops and Frank, in the middle of a procedure, tells her to just grab the fresh pair out of his pant pocket because his hands are busy?

And then Mel has to add at least ten minutes to her calm down time because oh my god, she touched his upper thigh. Where he kept loops for her.
