I hate that I'm forced to be tame. The luxuries of human society are nice and all, but I'm a wild animal. I'm not meant to live like this. At the end of the day I curl up in a warm bed that I attempt to make into a nest, but the longing to be in a den will never cease. Longing to survive and hunt in the deep wilderness, not just spending time in the forests and hills surrounded by civilization. Longing for a pack. Longing for what could've been. I will forever be longing.

bad take. if you think every single therian has a flat, even, unchanging connection that NEVER wavers or strengthens or lessens or feels a little bit different some days than others, then you don’t have a very good grasp on what therianthropy is. it doesn’t always have to be the same strength all the time.

in fact, that’s exactly what shifts are. i’m sure you’ve heard of a therian shift. where someone starts to feel much more connected to their type and often adopts behaviours/sensations more like their type. to say that you can’t ever feel more or less connected to your type than other times is to say shifts aren’t real. which is ridiculous.

it’s so weird being a system and a therian at the same time. i have my own theriotypes and so do most of my alters. but when you put us all together it looks like we kin every single animal on planet earth.

for example i (deb) kin horses, black panthers and dobermans.

dean kins two dog breeds and horses.

sam kins coyotes, moose and wolfdogs.

cassie kins angels and domestic cats.

dallas kins cougars.

+ way more. .

it’s frustrating in a way since i’ll always believe someone will think “that’s a lot of animals…. are you sure??” yes i am 100% sure! although my alters are all parts of me, we kin in completely different ways and different animals for plenty of reasons.

I'm so glad I let myself figure out my therian stuff when the opportunity came to me instead of continuing to cringe it away. I actually feel like my existence belongs to me now. I feel like life might be worth living even if it hurts. It's turned out to be integral to my sense of self. Everything comes back to it. I'm a wolfdog. I'm a wolfdog and I'm not just floating through each moment like a speck of dust, going through the motions but taking nothing in. I really do exist. I want to go on and unlock myself and turn my life into one worth sticking around for.

Genuine question: WHY do so many people in this community jump on everything they find weird and immediate label it as zoophilia?!

Like- animal packers, fantasy toys, yiff art, pet play, kink gear, LITERALLY ANYTHING.

Seriously, relieving dysphoria, having "dirty" urges related to your identity, even straight up liking some freaky shit does NOT mean someone is attracted to animals. And it definitely does not mean they are actively harming/thinking of harming real animals.

People really take whatever is too weird for them and try to accuse it of war crime. Be better y'all.
