I think a lot of people don't understand how much fearmongering and sketchy research is used to prop up the idea of "behavioral addictions" and that really impacts how people view porn addiction.

Rather than being depressed about Brian Wilson, I'd like to celebrate the fact that someone with such severe mental health struggles made it to age 82. I saw him perform about ten years ago and he seemed a bit out of it, but really happy to be there. I remember at one point the crowd erupted in applause and he looked confused and went "You're... clapping for me? I can't believe you're clapping for me!" which of course made everyone cheer even more.

You made it, dude. You had a long hard road but you made it all the way to 82, and people never stopped wanting to clap for you and your music.
