*Why’d you decide to apply?: I’ve been wanting to write for either May or Ward for a while and I find joining groups are the best way to motivate myself and to grow and evolve my characters.

Professor Fields. Dead. Strung from a tree. It was no way for anyone to go, let alone an agent of his calibre. It was frustrating – she felt like fish in a barrel with no where to go, just waiting for the next shot to go off. They knew HYDRA was behind it (there was never any doubt ) and more precautions were put in place, but there was only so much intelligence gathering they could do without letting on what they knew.

As simplistic as the idea was, she truly wished they would give her a name so she could find them and put an end to all of this. She was never one to sit silently while those she cared about were hurt. It made her skin crawl, as though the helplessness needed to be expelled like a toxin. And so she dealt with it the way she’d always had; her feelings were put into a box in the corner of her mind until she could properly sort through them. 

With each blow the punching bag seemed to gasp, as though it too was shocked by the anger behind the fists. Wrapped tightly, they continued their assault - never ceasing, never wavering - as the experienced hands only constant years of practice could do. And while her fists were steady, her eyes were wild, bright with the fury contained behind them. She would not use all her emotion on this practice target no – the recipient of that would be the person who continued to endanger her students lives and well as the lives of her team. 

There would be no mercy, her eyes promised an unseen target. There would be no respite, was the code her fists pounded out. Not while she was still alive.

                                    While she breathed, she would defend.

(Luke Mitchell Anon) I got my info from Dakota of duskrph, who is (imo) a very reliable resource. I'm not sure where this info was found, but I'm sure if you asked, Dakota would be more than willing to let you know!

we looked it up! Luke's a recent addition to duskrph’s list, that thanks to message that got sent to them. however, it said:

“(i know luke mitchell from agents of shield has asked that people not rp as him so for people who do fake life/celeb rp, that would be a good thing to have on your list. i think he's mentioned it on his twitter before if i remember right.)”

the bolded parts were confirmed by an anon message we’re gonna publish after this one. I also looked through his twitter to spot something about it, but there was nothing.

basically, we’re gonna cross our fingers and hope he’s only against fake life/celeb/smut roleplays as there’s been nothing to state otherwise. thank you so much for being so nice about this and caring about his wishes, again!

Hi guys, I was looking through your character bios and noticed that you have a Lincoln/Luke Mitchell here. I guess you didn't know, but Luke has said that he doesn't want his face used in RP groups and things like that and has asked for people to stop using him. I just thought I'd let you know :)

hi! thank you so much for your consideration for Luke and the fact you bothered to drop by to let us know in the first place – it means a lot, really. we talked about this with the group and our Lincoln roleplayer is very concerned about it, even to the point of willing to drop the character. however, when we went looking for sources, we only found few indirect ones (nothing indicating where they got the information form), and those stated that he specifically did not want to be used for celebrity and smut rp’s.

tl;dr thank you so much, truly. we’re debating what to do with the character, but we can’t take any direct actions and get rid of the character someone’s worked really hard on before we’ve cleared up the source. do you have something more direct, or a better source for us? we’d love to get to the bottom of this and respect Luke’s wishes, if this is what he wants.

        Liam Bailey, aged 18, inhaled sharply as he took one final glance around his small childhood bedroom. It had been his bedroom for the past 18 years of his life, and held many memories, both good and bad. He had just finished packing up all of his belongings, and was preparing to finally move out of his childhood home. Just a few weeks prior, he had received a letter that would change his life for good. It was an acceptance letter, into the S.H.I.E.L.D. Communications Academy. He had applied on a whim, not actually expecting to make it in. As his eyes scanned around the old familiar room, he paused, eyes fixed on his dresser. He couldn’t shake the feeling that he was missing something important, so he pulled open the top drawer for one last look. He noticed that the drawer was empty. Or so it seemed. A small indent in the back of the drawer caught his eye, so he ran his fingers over it to inspect. It was a latch, that, when pulled open, revealed a small trap door. The memories he had of creating such a door were slowly beginning to return to him, but he couldn’t remember why he had built it. As the small opening was in the back of the drawer, he couldn’t see inside of it, but only feel it with his hands. He reached blindly into the small opening, and let out a small gasp as his fingers ran over the contents of the door. It was a small photograph, and he knew exactly which one. He grasped the photograph and pulled it out, overcome with an overwhelming sense of nostalgia. The photograph featured five people. Two loving parents, two elder siblings, a seven year old Liam, and a smiling newborn baby girl. He felt his eyes begin to tear up as he stared down at the photograph, and wondered how he could have forgotten it was there. That small smiling baby girl was the whole reason he was doing this. The entire reason he was moving away to go to this special communications academy. That smiling baby girl was his baby sister, Helena. He had only known her for a few months before she was snatched away from him and his family. She was taken away by S.H.I.E.L.D. And he had no idea how to get her back. But this never stopped him from trying, So now, 11 years later, he was figuring out a way to get inside S.H.I.E.L.D. This ‘way’, he had figured, was joining their communications academy. He had no idea what he was going to do once he got there, but he was determined to do so. He had spent years trying to figure out ways to get her back, all of them failing. When he heard about the academy, he had figured he would be unable to get in, but nonetheless, applied on a whim of hope.He couldn’t believe that he had actually been accepted, but was grateful. He sighed deeply as he wiped away the drops forming at the corners of his eyes, and placed the photo into his suitcase. Now, he was more determined than ever to get to his new school, thanks to the small reminder of what he was doing it all for. He picked up his bag, and opened his front door, ready to begin his new life as a college student, and finally bring back his baby sister.

The announcement: At roughly 3 am, agent Leopold Fitz found the body of a fellow agent and communications professor Fields on the sciences & technology campus. The cause of death is unknown and under investigation, however all evidence points to an accident that happened due to intoxication at one of the secret raves in the Boiler Room. From this day onward, such raves are banned. All students must remain indoors in this time of grief. We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, and thank agent Fields for all of the work he's done securing SHIELD. While he breathed, he defended. The real story: At roughly 3 am, agent Leopold Fitz found the body of a fellow agent and communications professor Fields strung to a tree on the sciences & technology campus. The cause of death has been determined and pinned to a Hydra attack. Agent Fields had been the main defender of SHIELD against the organisation and his assassination by said organisation was purely tactical. All evidence points to it being one of the many planned physical attacks yet to come.

(III) BIOGRAPHY (IF ORIGINAL CHARACTER)

before S.H.I.E.L.D. academy: (tw suicide)Lincoln grew up in Cincinnati, eventually attending medical school. The pressure to succeed, from both his parents and his professors, got to him, however, and ended up dropping out. His depression spiraled until he almost attempted suicide by jumping off a bridge - and he would have, if it hadn’t been for his friend John, who managed to talk him down. Despite a year of treatment, Lincoln wasn’t doing much better when he was approached by a woman named Jiaying, promising a new beginning for him. Desperate to turn his life around, he accepted, and was taken to a special facility called Afterlife, which he was told was for people like him - inhuman. Lincoln thrived in Afterlife, eventually finishing his doctorate and taking on the role of community doctor. After a few years, he was selected to undergo Terrigenesis, or the process that would awake his latent Inhuman abilities. Jiaying told him he was given the “gift” of electrokinesis, but Lincoln felt like he had gone back to medical school all over again. His powers were uncontrollable, and seemed to cause destruction at every opportunity. It took another year for him to get his powers under control, at which point Jiaying assigned him a new mission - infiltrate the organization called SHIELD and find out more about their research into metahumans. at S.H.I.E.L.D. academy: Allowed to skip directly to his fourth year, as he already had his doctorate, Lincoln found he actually enjoyed being back at school in what was a much more relaxing environment. Still, doubts plagued his mind and he frequently worried about what would become of him if SHIELD were to find out about his powers. Jiaying tries to push him into digging harder into SHIELD’s secrets, but Lincoln’s noticed that there’s something else going on at the Academy, and being any more suspicious could result in him getting caught… traits: +charismatic, +clever, +passionate, -untrusting, -depressed, -suspicious

The Boiler Room raves are legendary and, most importantly, underground. With the start of the new academic year, the invites are being sent out once more, this time to members of all divisions. Starting at 9 pm, it’s bound to go all night, including very serious agent activities such as karaoke, sulfuric acid pong (courtesy of sci & tech) and dance-offs. The secretiveness has kept it running for all these years, so the rules are simple - bring someone and keep quiet about it.
