Shiemi watched the curse's lips as she spoke, some words still harder than others to understand but she still tried. Every move that the curse made was noted, making sure that she wasn't trying anything funny.

"I work as an exorcist for those who cannot see curses. Broadening my horizons, as they say." She replied, a slight grin on her face. "Do you have a name? I didn't expect to meet a sentient curse today, what a treat." The woman hummed as she slipped her hands into her pockets. "The elderly couple that reside here are worried that their house is being haunted. Are you the one causing their lights to flicker?"

Violet eyes scanned the creased paper that was held firmly between pale fingers. Typed onto the paper was Shiemi’s next mission, which was right on the outskirts of the city. Shiemi didn’t mind traveling for her side gig, but the train always made her a bit nervous.

She watched as the scenery flew past her, skyscrapers and cars quickly became small one-story home with farm land reaching as far as the eye could see. A welcoming change from the bustling streets that she was used to.

Once the train had stopped, Shiemi departed from the station and walked to the address that was written on the paper, her fingers toying with the notepad in the pocket of her hakama.

Knocking confidently on the door, Shiemi pulled out her notepad and flipped to the page which read “My name is Fujioka Shiemi, I’m the exorcist you hired. Please bear with me, I’m deaf but I can read lips.” The door opened as an elderly woman read the paper and ushered the young priestess in, catching her up on the events that were taking place in the home. Shiemi wasn’t truly a priestess from the local temples, but it made it easier to deal with curses that were hiding in peoples’ homes.

A curse was definitely residing in this home, although it felt different than most curses she had dealt with in the past. “You’ve been noticed.” She called out to the curse once the elder had left the house to go outside. “Show yourself then, so I can help you rest peacefully.”

“It’s nice to meet you too.” 

Shiemi’s unconventional greeting (if such a remark could even be regarded as such) was met with a reply that practically dripped with sarcasm. Indeed, her presence had been divulged by the electrical interference associated with the very nature of her being, but what could she possibly be expected to do about that?

Saint offered a jaunty wave from where she lounged across the kitchen counter in human guise. The elderly population were reliably less observant than their younger counterparts, so their residences were generally more permissive to casual visitation. 

It was nice, to pilfer for cereal and tea, and entertain callbacks to a time before she’d reincarnated. Such were simple, human pleasures that she’d once taken for granted. What now was she left with but lament?

She slid off the marble, careful not to disturb the haphazard piles of pots and pans as she did so.

“What are you doing so far out countryside? You don’t see too many sorcerers around here.”

Shiemi gasped and pouted playfully, reaching up to gently flick Gojo on the forehead. 'I'll stuff myself in your overnight bag then.' She signed, her pout turning into a small grin. 'I can hand you snacks on the ride there from inside the bag.'

'If we're leaving tonight, then I should get my bag ready yeah?'

It was that time of day again. The time of day when Shiemi had to go scout for Gojo to make sure he had eaten. He could be anywhere, she thought as she searched the school for her friend.

Finding the white haired male, Shiemi held out a bento box before dropping it in his lap, quickly signing to him as she huffed. 'Did you eat today Gojo? You're gonna die of starvation if you don't continuously feed yourself.' She finished before putting her hands on her hips and glaring at the older male slightly.

Shiemi sighed softly as she searched through her bag and pulled out a handful of candy, popping a piece in her mouth. "How do you do it, Gojo?" She said since her hands were occupied. "How do you keep up with Itadori and his group of heathens? I'm not much older than them, but it takes most of my energy to keep up with them!"
