She had been walking around town for what felt like a better part of day and this was pretty impressive considering how quickly the small witch got distracted from most tasks not pertaining to magic and Chariot.

 “Wooo, man, whose idea was this anyways?” She quietly whined while wiping the sweat from her forehead and letting out a sigh. After lightly catching her breath while sitting on a nearby park bench, Akko pulled out a map from her jacket and began surveying it intently.

“Hmmmmm....” A few onlookers passed by as this strange and energetic girl had a very prolonged staring contest with a piece of paper. Who knows how much time passed before Akko threw up her arms in the air with vocal frustration. “MOOOOOE! Sucy your drawing is too confusing! How am I going to find these mushrooms before the festival?! Does no one just sell them?”

A Little meow came from just beneath her feet. The stray cat that resided in the park had sensed an unsettling amount of displeasure and had made a move to see what the matter was. Not wasting a beat, the creature had begun rubbing against the witch’s leg.

Not even a split second passed through the impulsive nerd’s mind before jumping to the conclusion that maybe the cat could assist her in finding this mysterious ingredient. I mean, she has a fish for a teacher, right? At the very least anything was worth a shot! 

“Hey, hey, you know where I can find this shroomy shroom, right?” Her eyes narrowed while failing to keep any semblance of cool given the fact she could hear random park patrons questioning if she was even all there.

The cat looked at her perplexed and meowed once more before hopping off into the bush. What little lead she had was gone once more. Defeated yet again, Kagari hung her head and began meandering aimlessly around town like she had done hours prior.
