silkie mutation grian might also have feather 'hair'! like, could be he has no mammalian style hair whatsoever, just those super soft feathers. the softest 'waffle'. it also would have character implications with his early s6 flying struggles and "maybe builders just aren't meant to fly" + him early on mentioning he's only flown in creative mode

i dont watch gem on a regular basis, but i can think of just a few!

geminitay general headcanons

gem has always had magic, even prior to joining hermitcraft. her wizardry, gifted to her upon joining empires, has since been internalized and is now used in every server she goes to. how this magic is used changes depending on the server, yet it always seems to be nature related. as such, gem has since gained the physical attributes of a satyr, with long deer-like antlers and cloven hooves. these help her maneuver and get around her bases, especially when building :) oddly enough, things always seem to be growing when shes around. if shes around for long enough, there's a noticeable difference in the growth of flowers and flora that was located near her due to her time in afterlife, she also has the ability to shapeshift very slightly in servers outside of afterlife. small things such as giving herself gills, a different set of animal ears, and spawning in decorative clothing items are all common occurrences!

double life and hermitcraft idea: so you know how the fanon is that character grian has feathery wings / is an avian or elytran or something, and people come up with lots of reasons for why he can't fly in the life games? what about this one: silkie mutation, where the feathers don't form properly so theyre like very soft fur instead of proper feathers. strap a modified elytra to the wings and they function fine but otherwise he's as flightless as any human.

scott and cleo - double life headcanons

much like all the other soulmate duos, cleo and scott have a tie between them. however, unlike the other duos whose strings are naturally bound, theirs are tied together. despite not sharing physical damage, there's a strange phenomenon that causes cleo and scott to share emotional damage, which brings the two of them even closer together. i already headcanon that all the soulduos have something in common. due to the practical mending of their lives over their original soulmates, both received traits from one another. much like cleo, scott's wounds automatically get sewn up with thread upon respawn and / or healing. much like scott, cleo has a small patch of hair that changes color depending on life status. when one dies, the others heart stops for a few seconds before returning to normal.

WOO okay!! chances are these will be scattered from across different seasons, so i'll label accordingly :] some of my hermitcraft headcanons!

xisuma has a large X shaped scar that spans across the bridge of his nose, but its not known by anyone really except for keralis due to the fact he keeps his helmet on just about all the time (general) tango is actually immune to fire and lava related injuries, so in order to keep things fair, he wears a pair of enchanted gloves at all times that register the feeling of heat for him. they shock him if / when he interacts with fire, making him take the same amount of damage as he would if he felt the burning (general) scar's scar patterns change every time he logs on due to vex magic. if there was a significant impact from the previous time, such as a shot in the arm, there will be a new scar there to signify that. also, if you look close enough to the air around scar, some of it warps a bit, making the surrounding area seem almost as though its being looked at through water. this is the effect of vex magic, which slightly manipulates the world around him in harmless ways (general) scar and grian used a combination of vex and watcher magic in order to keep BOATEM alive in outer space after the previous world exploded (season 8) mumbo is smothered in redstone almost all the time. i have a general redstone theory, which is that because it's a powder, it can be very harmful to a users lungs if used without moderation. if it infects the user, it can cause the user to start seeing the standard galactic alphabet floating around them. usually, this goes away after a while and some clean air, but considering the fact mumbo is basically married to redstone, he's so effected by this that the symbols just don't go away anymore. as such, he reads things, such as messages in chat or words on a sign, in the standard galactic alphabet and translates it accordingly (general) similarly, due to being exposed to mycelium for too long, grian's hair slowly started tinting purple, which slowly faded after the turf war (season 7) team star sat and sang all of hermitgang in front of the g team DURING the civil war. they literally just took a break from all the tnt and ghasts and what not. and picked up a bunch of mics. and just dissed them (season 6) bdubs didn't survive the blast of the earth's explosion, but was revived nonetheless due to vex magic. much like how he fell out of the sky in season 6 after being assumably lost & killed in the forest of season 5, the after effects of scar's vex magic managed to grant him regenerative powers, which carried him over into season 9. though this pseudo-vex magic can be very tiring on the body, so the man sleeps a lot (season 8 + general) mumbo's hair is actually blonde; tangos hair is actually black -- they both dye their hair frequently (general) jellie can fly!! scar gave her a bit of magic so that she can float beside him no matter where he is or what he's doing :] whenever scar dies or logs out, she sits in the spot where it happened and waits until he comes back (general)

landscaping your mind

a theory / headcanon / thought ramble / possible au about grian’s ninth episode of season nine

for some odd reason, the existence of landscaping your mind - chapter one has got me on the edge of my seat with bated breath and let me tell you why:

to begin with, the order. not only are the “landscaping your mind” segments out of what is written to be chronological order, but the time difference between chapters 2-3 and chapter 1 is nothing less of interesting. grian’s pointed out many times how people don’t tend to watch all the way to the end of his videos, so why would he wait to put lymc1, something that’s assumably about an audible ad, all the way at the end of the video? it’s almost as though he was trying to keep it secret; not hidden, but under the radar for those who don’t have a keen eye to spot it. and i have to mention the cut off. this is what really got me intrigued. the passage read for chapter one is obviously one to take note of, but i’ll touch more about that in a minute. i’m more interested in the fact that the passage was never finished. the tone of which the sentence “and plucking one will reveal” gives off is just one of an unfinished statement, though im certain everyone else knows that. if lsymc1 really is some one-off silly audible thing, what’s the purpose of putting so much effort into creating such a pretty scene, especially when compared to lsymc2&3 -- and why go through the effort of killing the scene but cutting it off? what is there to lsymc1 that we haven’t heard, and why? and finally, the narrator. at first i didn’t think too much about it. scar being the narrator of isym simply made sense -- he’s a builder. he landscapes. but considering the contents of chapter one, i can’t help but theorize on a deeper level.

grian already said that the “lore” of season nine isn’t connected to evo lore (i know man pack it up evo enjoyers we lost another fight), but that actually helps strengthen my theory here in the idea that scar knows something.

“past life, memories, desires, dreams, and past loves.” and who shares these things? scar & grian. it’s an ongoing joke in the community that it’s hilarious how the two of them always end up finding each other one way or another, but i’d be damned if this wasn’t the biggest coincidence i’ve seen. third life, last life, (especially) double life, hermitcraft -- how coincidental to have a man whose been by grian’s side for a good majority of it be the one to voice a passage talking about the past!

now this is me trucking into theory territory (if i hadn’t already done so) but just here me out.

grian made the statement that the rift was a rip in “space and time”, and made the claim that it’ll be possibly pulling things from the past into the present. i’m here to present the theory that lsym is possibly a piece of literature shot through the rift and picked up by scar retelling the past lives between him and grian. i have a feeling that lsymc2&3 aren’t the actual chapters two & three and that’s why chapter one was put all the way at the end of the video; because it is the real chapter. it wasn’t supposed to be found, but it was -- by the very person it was written for. and as the seasons going to continue, so are the references to past realities, and we may finally find the answer to what “plucking one will reveal” in landscaping your mind chapter four.
