today’s headcanon is that gaku suffers from chronic pain. it gets worse on some days. makes it so that he has to confine himself to his room to ride it out. to not let anyone see. to not feel their pity. their helplessness. he goes through it alone. the physical pain ending only for the mental exhaustion to set in. he thinks his grief is the worst of it all.

i just know girl is gonna be going through it… she was already in tears over gaku’s death scare a few chapters back, i can’t imagine how she’ll react with both gaku and haruma gone now (praying it’s not true). go ape shit, i suppose.
but real talk though. we know everyone at al-kamar orphanage was really close to each other. they really care about each other. hell, they’re all practically siblings. and i can’t imagine how much these losses will hurt them all. it’s exactly like kei said; their family is being taken away from them. and how exactly is one expected to cope with that?
