I find it very funny when people say that the comments on Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts are unhinged because I find them pretty normal. I do find the trend of people saying “did you at least kiss the brick before you threw it?” in response to angst art (for the most part) pretty funny. Even before I joined tumblr, these seemed like normal, silly comments.

Do you have any tips or references you use for drawing Cody or the other clone troopers? I’m trying to get better at drawing them, and need some advice.

Hello there!

If you are looking for good clone armour references, check Sketchfab They have plenty of 3D models of clones but also other star wars stuff (I always use it for the guns, helmets or shoes because these are the things I'm struggling the most with haha)

As for how to draw Clones face, just look for young Temuera Morrison pictures and use them as references. Look at this handome man

It might be hard at the beginning but when I am learning how to draw a character, I always try to find features that are very characteristic for them. In case of clones, it's their nose shape, their curly hair (I refuse tcw animation hair no thank you) and their rather round face (again, not using tcw as reference)

fun addition I thought of: I think it would be fun if at some point Tyson visited camp and maybe Percy isn’t at camp for whatever reason so the Aphrodite cabin invite him to hang with them because their mom originated from the sea so there is some sorta connection. anyways, one of them notices that Tyson has a beauty mark under his chin (the bottom of the jaw that isn’t visible head-on) and now the cabin 10 campers feel even more connected so when Percy shows up he sees the cabin 10 campers hanging out with Tyson and everyone is super happy and it’s cute.

my favorite Cabin 10 head canon that I have is that every child of Aphrodite has a beauty mark on their face.

While beauty marks are not exclusive to Aphrodite kids, if you have one you get the honorary cabin 10 treatment.

Now here are where I have them placed:

Selena - Under her left eye, closer to the back of the eye than the center

Piper - On her chin; when she gets claimed in the first book of HoO, Piper says that she had a pimple on her chin for so long that she’d named it. I like the idea that she also has a beauty mark on her chin. I imagine it off center, skewed to the right of her face though still on the bulb of the chin(?).

Valentine - she has a beauty mark just off of her left brow, but not quite in the nose bridge. It’s slightly below the brow, sort of at the nook where the eye socket starts. She has some smaller ones elsewhere that aren’t as noticeable.

Mitchell - he has one on the left side of his nose. It’s mid way between his tear duct and his nostril. He has some smaller ones elsewhere that aren’t as noticeable.

Lacy - she has one directly under her right eye. It is perfectly centered there.

Drew - while she is not the only one to have multiple beauty marks, hers are most prominent. She has one in the same spot as Selena, one mirrored off of Mitchell, and one directly above her right eyebrow, slightly off center.

(Bonus: Ethan - He has one at the center of left cheek, sort of where dimples normally fall.)

Aphrodite - No matter what form she takes, there is always a beauty mark to show that everything is beautiful. They may not always be visible, but she knows they’re there.
