Summary: Marty watches. He watches the dumb human (elf?) pack her things. Ugly sobs as she takes a laughable amount of items into her gaudy purple backpack. He is glad the odd looking boy is taking her away. He can finally sleep on her bed without her kicking him with is feet. He wouldn't have to endure the pathetic whining from her subpar music taste. There wouldn't be anymore complaining about a certain Garwin Chang. This was good. Then she picks him up.

KOTLc character and if they're a dog/cat person or other animals.

I can't pick 1 character to make posts art so I stay pathetic and do all of them. Stina's in this one now! neither can I stay on prompt so-

Sophie: I think she likes cats more, but dogs are the animal that actually bond and enjoy her company. Marty was the only exception. honestly there should be an AU where Marty joins Sophie and they have adventures together. ily Marty. But Marty hates sophies guts. But not really. we should do Marty POV. and the whole time he's complaining abt sophies stupidity(im sorry Sophie ily girl. Marty's just a meanie). Marty hates iggy too. and Silveny. Marty is filled with rage. Marty will hunt you down. For angst we can do something where Sophie's abt to die from like a stab wound or something. and it' stop deep for Elwin to fix so. she's just bleeding out. and Marty finally lets her pet him. and then he curls up on Sophies dead body and. ok Marty secretly loves Sophie.

Keefe: Bc he's an empath, and bc of his personality in general tbh, all animals like him a lot. He's an animal guy. Marty would love him. wait. Keefe as a horse boy. Stina horse girl. they should bond tbh. Keefe dex and Stina, committing crimes and lowering students confidence with well placed insults. Anyways, his animal, whether dog or cat would be primarily an emotional support animal. Bc He needs something happy in his life. Keefe obvi sneaks the dog/cat into Foxfire w him. bc he's Keefe. Aw the dog/cat sometimes aids in his pranks. Like painted paw prints on the roof of the school is included with one of Keefe's pranks, and no one ones how they got there. bc Marty is my newfound obsession im gonna say that Marty tolerates Keefe, and it's a surprise for him bc generally animals love him. Marty low-key bullies Keefe. idk how a cat would bully an elf. but Marty does it.

Fitz: He's the exact opposite of Sophie. He likes dogs, but cats love him. imagine with me, Marty see's fitz, runs to him, starts scratching shoppe when she tries to take him back from Fitz. Silveny may love Sophie (and Keefe). but sophies childhood pet and companion, the one who has been with her since birth, nah. Marty sneaks into sophies school bag to see Fitz. Marty is the real reason Sophie's so mad at Fitz in Unlocked. She's just jealous that Marty love him more. Also Fitz is a total Disney princess so alllll the woodland creatures congregate at his balcony when he like opens the window. Singing abt how much he loves the sunrise or some shit. And then birds land on his arms and sing in harmony w him. And then Biana socks him with a shoe.

Dex: I am honestly not sure. On one hand, he's super busy & can't take the time to properly give attention to a dog, and in that sense, would prefer a cat. But also he's a Dizznee, and dogs are arguably more hyper and active than cats, which is something he would like & be used to. Or maybe he would like an animal that's calm bc his family is so chaotic....girl idk. I think he's more into smaller animals actually, like guinea pigs, or tomples, or a gremlin. Now that I think abt it. Hasn't dex spent more time with Iggy than Sophie? Girl what if Iggy likes Dex more than Sophie. all her pets are abandoning her! Marty likes that Dex keeps re-dying iggy, bc he hates iggy. So he lets Dex pet him, everyone and a while.

Biana: U know those girls with like the rlly big dogs that they like tell to sit and everyone starts sweating bc for some reason telling a dog to sit is hot????? That's her. She is a dog person all the wayyyy. She goes on walks with her big ass dog and ppl look the other way bc she's Intimidating. She's also Disney princess core tho so, the birds love her too. she's just not annoying abt it like someone else. Marty likes fitz, so by proxy, he sadly has to put up with Biana. Of course, on Marty's long lists of things he hates, are big Dogs. So he kind of runs away from her. He doesn't hate her, but he does fear her.

Stina: I mean, this is redundant but like.....horse girl. Of course we're talking abt dogs and cats, and ik dogs r used to herd sheep and goats n stuff, so maybe dogs would be useful for herding horses/unicorns too? I mean by proxy of her horse girliness, she's a farm girl too. And generally, dog r more useful for that. So she would have a pretty active and veryyy Bark-ey dog. She has a dog whistle. Stina is mean, Marty is mean. They get along. they're chill.

Tam: I mean. W all know he's a cat boy. There's no argument. He would want a quieter animal so he could like read in peace. He doesn't actively look for cats, but like, cats like him, so he keeps a bowl of food outside Tiergan's house (forgot what it's called) and gives them all names. and pets them from time to time. But they're all stray cats, they're not actually his. And Tam is cool w that. So in this vein, Marty likes Tam. He might be Marty's third favorite person.

Kotlc collecting head cannons Pt. 3

And finally, last but not least,

Fitz: You thought I forgot abt him. You thought I was a Fitz hater and didn't include him. WRONG. I saved him for last bc he is the ULTIMATE collector. buckle up bc this is gonna be long. He has everything. Gnome collections, rock collections, medicine/herbal collections, knife collections, plants collections, stick collections(him and Biana fight over sticks it's so funny), sticker collections, book collections, jewelry collections (this includes traditional Indian jewelry bc The Vacker's brown idc), clothing collections, shell collections, collections of things that remind him of ppl, ribbons, beads, wires, Doorknobs, carpets, chairs???, star charts, bottle caps, socks, vinyl records, lightbulbs, glitter, stationary, random human junk, Dirt even. Rocks again, literally thousands of rocks. Fitz = rock.  He's such a hoarder. Bro even collects cats. You cannot convince me he has an army of pigeons that he has from his time in the human world. Speaking of human cities. he has a trinket from every area he visited, canonically. He has those ugly tourist baseball caps. The "I love New York" t-shirts. used coffee cups from like Starbucks. flattened soda cans. He looks at those soda cans in wonder. It'll forever be a mystery of what these things are. He'll never put two and two together that unflattened soda cans, and flattened soda cans are the same thing. He's mystified. But because he collects so much random shit, he has a lot of cool things too. Like dinosaur fossils(he's a dinosaur boy) that are really rare. Ancient pots and scrolls and other historical things. And he knows the history behind everything bc he's a nerd. Dude could become a billionaire just from the things he owns. He has three Toyotas(that he hot wired???? somehow???). A private jet. A yacht. And iPhone 13. a laptop that he doesn't know how to use. A lottttt of human movies/TV shows which he doesn't know he has. But he does. POKEMON CARDS. He plays the Pokemon games on Nintendo. He and Dex do pokemon battles. Fitz always loses. YU-GI-OH CARDS. Omg bro would be the only one who knows how to Play Yu-Gi-Oh. he's a master at it Dex loses to him in Yu-Gi-Oh sadly. Board games, card games. Comic books. He likes DC more than marvel bc I like DC more than marvel. Idk who his favorite  superhero would be. I could do a post on everyone's favorite. baseball cards. Press on nails. CDs. Action figures. fake lashes. candy. Harry Potter wizard wands (he thought they were sticks). Antique Chess boards. Sooooo many cooking supplies. None of the Vackers can cook because they're clowns, so when Della see's her son doing some stress baking, she encourages him to expand into cooking and now he cooks dinner for the entire gang sometimes. He has all the versions of the air-fryers. he uses none of them. Knives that are sharper than Ro's daggers somehow. He owns human property too. Illegally. bc he's a minor and also a citizen of zero human countries. so he has forged documents too. He has 6 pounds of crystal meth. He has no idea what it is, but he has it, he thinks it's plant fertilizer. Don't ask how. For all his Vacker properness, Fitz goes feral in the forbidden cities. He collects pride flags too, for Biana and someday himself, when he stops being in denial. of course all this stuff and he still doesn't have a single human penny to his name. Sophie's feeling homesick so Fitz shows her his hoard. She goes crazy. Everyone makes a day of looking through Fitz's stuff. What crazy is that all of this is under his bed. it's all in there. It's magic. You're wrong if you think Fitz is a normal guy. he's not.

Kotlc collecting habits Pt.2

Basically what I think various kotlc characters (mostly the kids) would collect. other than prattles pins bc we all know everyone collects those so.

this is inspired by my own habits of picking random shit up and stuffing it in my closet.

Tam: Again like Linh, not much of a collector. I think he's the least collect-y of the group. But of the very few things he does collect, he collects things that are useful, a lot like dex. he's hyper vigilant almost. He was Linh and his own sole caretaker (Linh took care of him too but Tams internalized this wayyy more than Linh did), and anything that can protect him and Linh is something he would collect. small knives, emergency med kits, fire proof clothing even. things like that. he's ready for the apocalypse. But maybe, far down the line, when he's starting to relax, he has a small book collection. I will die on my hill of Tam being a bookworm. he, Tiergan and Wylie can bond on their shared love of Pride 7 Prejudice. Or other equivalent elven books. Linh and Prentice are illiterate and proud (not that they're not smart, prentice is literally a keeper, they just hate reading). He also has a collection of Weird shirts Linh has made him. He doesn't throw them away. He'd rather die than wear them, but he'll look into his closet sometimes and quietly organize the shirts she made him and give a small smile.

Maruca: She seems like a bead girlie to me. Like her bead box, is gigantonourmous. She has made soooooooo many bracelets and necklaces and jewelry and honestly even beaded embroidery for her friends and herself and Wylie (Wylie is not her friend, he family, so it's diff). She still has vasttttt amount of beads left over. Literally once a month she goes on a bead hunt, bonus points if it's with someone else like Biana of Marella or something. On her reoccurring bead hunt, she will say she's only buying beads to make one(1) bracelet, and then proceeds to buy the entire store out. It's so funny. No one wants to go on her bead hunts anymore bc she makes them carry shit while she hunts for more beads. Honestly queen behavior. Literally all her clothing and jewelry and everything has beads on it. side point: she seems like she would be into making lace, and anyone who's ever watched ppl make lace, or make lace themselves, know that it's incredibly tedious. so hats off to her.

Marella: Marella does not think things through, if she likes, she takes. yes. I feel like she would have a collection specifically for like fire related things. Like fire earrings, fire decorated bandanas etc. OMFG wait. COWGIRL MARELLA. PLS SOMEONE DO THIS I WOULD DIE. anyways, after like the initial shame and fear she gets from manifesting as a pyrokinectic, I think she would feel angry. I mean I know. this is canon pretty sure. She's not ashamed anymore, and wants to prove this fact with buying fire related stuff. I also think she might be into collecting ribbon. Like for her hair. She ties little bits of ribbon in it and it makes her feel pretty. She starts doing it regularly bc her mom used to put ribbons in her hair before her accident. Nw she does by herself bc no one will do it for her. :)

Rayni: She's again, a lot like Linh and Tam. She doesn't have a the capacity to collect things because of her living situation in the never seen. All she has is her cat statue. of course, she had a life before her parents tribunal and subsequent banishing, and from that time period, I feel like she would pull a Linh and collect stickers. Actually that could be bonding, like Her and Linh find each others sticker stashes, and start trading them like Pokemon cards. It's their bonding time. Linh can yell at Rayni and Rayni can yell at Linh art various sticker deals they're making, and at the end, they have cool new stickers and they're happy. Btw Rayni does have a very large cat sticker collection. She currently on the hunt to look for a cat sticker that looks like her cat statue. She'll find it someday. again side note: Rayni never actually uses the stickers. They're in a super secret bin underneath her bed or something.

Jensi: U guys thought I forgot him huh. Plant dad. Plant boy. Exotic plants. Native plants. Invasive plants. He has a nice little garden which is periodically harvests from. He's the gnomes favorite bc he loves plants. If anyone wants a little cottage core scene they go to his house. He has poisonous plants, and like maybe sometime in the war against the never seen sophies like looking for this super rare plant that has insane toxins in it and Jensi's like. Oh yeah I have like six of those in my backyard lol. and I also bred them to be even more potent. want some? Sophie is flabbergasted. She has new respect for the Venus fly-trap he gifted her. Fintans a plant dad? wrong. He's nothing compared to Jensi. Nothing.

Wylie: I'm going full angst with this one and saying he collects hairpins/clips. Like the ones his mother used to make. He obviously doesn't use them. maybe he gives some to Maruca and other friends/family with longer hair. (wait Wylie with long hair. hmmmmm. I like it). But mostly he just hides them away. And when he's trying to remember what his mothers smile looked like, (Bc he doesn't have photographic memory, and he was very young when she died, he's bound to forget) he opens up the hair pin box and cries. he gives one of the remaining pins he has to Tiergan bc he has long hair. And they cry together. Could also be sad times with him and Prentice too. They mourn together while looking at the hair pins.

Sophie: she doesn't rlly have the time to like exclusively go out and collect things she wants. I think she's rlly causal act what she keeps. if she see's a pretty rock? yoink. some nice smelling flowers? she'll pluck a few to maybe sundry when she's not busy saving the world lmao. I do think she would collect garden gnomes tho. Bc of mr. forkle's human house having the gnomes (the most weird or scary looking ones ofc, shoppes a weirdo 100%). It reminds her or her human past, and it also srsly weirds out like everyone who comes Havenfield which is is plus. Like just imagine a whole line of creepy ass gnomes lined up right outside havenfields entrance. She names them all too. they all human names ofc ofc. like bob. and carl. and other such things.

Keefe: I think he collects things based off of ppl if you know what I mean. Like he see's a bottle caps that reminds him of Sophie's exact eye color and adds it to his Sophie collection. Or if he see's like idk a purple rock that reminds him of like that one time Biana painted his nails the most vibrant and gaudy purple color she had, he adds it to his collection of things that remind him of Biana. maybe he adds little pieces of art he did for each person he collects stuff for. idk. Omg and maybe someday like he has all these collections and like the gang happens to fid out, and they start going through that shit. Keefe's so embarrassed and low-key scared they'll be mad, but they all love it. Fitz finally reunites with his long lost Bramble Jersey! Keefe immediately steals it back tho dw. he's such a people person fr. Especially bc of his empathy. He doesn't have collections for his parents. He used to for Gisela but when she was revealed to be a part of the never seen he showed her's into some dark corner of the house and hasn't looked back.

Biana: ikkkk ppl are gonna say that she collects hair pins and like jewelry and makeup and other stuff like that. And she does, She has an entire closet dedicated to dresses and shoes she has over the year. Like this is canonical. But her most prized and valued collection, is her stick collection. She has so many sticks. She has such stick fight vibes. She used to beat Keefe and fitz up with them. She organizes them by height. She lovingly pets them all. No one is allowed to touch her sticks. Biana = stick girl. One time when the gang was like idk practicing fighting with their bodyguards, she found the biggest most beautiful stick ever and literally screamed. No one knew why Biana, the girliest of girlies (said lovingly ily Biana) was so worked up over a stick. It's ok Biana, sticks r amazing fr.

Dex: I feel like before he became a techno path, he would collect like plant ingredients for different potions and elixirs needed at slurps and burps. He likes the idea of being useful, bc all his life he's been seen as a mistake. He's trying to prove his worth constantly. Kesler happened to ask him to get a like plant in front of a noble, and the noble complimented Dex on being such a good kid, so now he's like oh, I'm a good kid! which makes me so sad. But also he collects like useful things exclusively bc of the triplets. Like he can't bring shiny rocks or shells that he finds on the beach bc the triplets will get to it so fast that he won't even be able to like have a collection to adds things to. Instead, he collects pieces of scrap metal, herbs, wires, wood pieces, etc. so that he has the excuse of saying that this is material he needs for gadgets and elixirs and whatnot, so the triplets can't steal/break anything. he collects pens too( he is anti pencil).

Linh: Because of her being banshed for like 3+ years, I can't say that Linh is a big collector, neither is her brother. She didn't have the means to have things simply for enjoyment. Whatever little she owned went to keeping her and her brother alive and fed. It's hardcoded into to only take what she needs and nothing more bc of her previous life style. But now that she lives with Tiergan (NOT choralmere I REFUSE), I think she might start buying like little trinkets. Maybe stickers or small bracelets, or charms. keychains. Friendship necklaces. She would definitely buy lotttttts of excess things for princess purryfins. Like fancy collars, or little animal clothes. combs to brush her hair. Linh spoils her sm I swear. I wish is was Princess purryfins fr. I also think she would invest in a lottt of water proof clothing/goggles/etc. Like overly so. More than she needs. it's a way of calming her anxiety act her ability. Even if she messes up and loses control, at least she and everyone in Tiergan's house (I forgot what hi should is called) will stay dry. She hasn't fucked up completely.
