New EP Clouds Unfold available for pre-save, released 1 Feb on all streaming platforms.

Inspired by Alan Moore’s epic novel Jerusalem, Clouds Unfold mixes ambient clouds of noise with glinting arpeggios and shifting motorik beats.

Lokus

Lokus is another experiment in generative music and visuals, based on the track Lokus - a piece first featured on Piano Loops in 2019.

The user can create unique mixes within the piece by moving the mouse / touching the screen at different parts, creating a sense of ‘location’ with the music.

This project takes music from the track firstlight 1, the Jack Kerouac poem Sea and combines them with generative sounds (driven by Websocket data feeds) and visuals.

A couple of announcements

First, I’m thrilled to announce that the Verschollene EP is being released on Germany-based ambient / avant-garde label Spheredelic at the end of the month. It’ll be available for free under the Creative Commons licence. See http://www.spheredelic.com/en for details.

Second, I’m putting the finishing touches to a EP of covers which should be out on Bandcamp/Soundcloud around the same time, featuring covers of a few of my favourite songs (Meat Puppets, Smiths etc...) I’ve uploaded a preview of my cover of Suffer Little Children from the first Smiths album here https://soundcloud.com/shockofdaylight/suffer-little-children-the-smiths-preview 

I’m also beginning work on more original material, aiming for a release in the spring.
