I love AUs where disciple! Shen Yuan is a charming oblivious little thing, but, but! What if 👀

Tiny feral gremlin Shen Yuan, traumatised and full of hyperfixations? Still charming in some ways, but not as approachable.

SY is known mostly as this one strange kid from Qing Jing that looks like SQQ, glares at you like SQQ and literally swallows any book given to him whole. He is harmless until provoked, doesn't like to play with other children and sometimes looks so serious it's funny.

Another thing is the way how SY often just freezes in place, staring at something invisible in front of him, but hey, the boy is full of quirks and odd habits.

He doesn't have many friends, but no one dares to bully him either. He bites.

In Shen Yuan's case it can be Xiao Gongzhu's doing, while he was kept in Water Prison. Qang Qiong's Peak Lords would be furious afterwards at the sight of their martial sibling in such a state.

Also what if Shen Yuan doesn't feel safe almost all the time, because he is constantly on guard, afraid of being discovered? He isn't sure exactly what behavior and mannerisms are expected from him and therefore avoids YQY at all costs, suspecting there must be some shared past between them.

He doesn't feel comfortable around LQG too as the man clearly disliked the original goods, and some part of this hostility still remains.

And as much as he's fanboying internally around LBH, Shen Yuan keeps in mind that he is his future tormenter.

So, MQF it is. His beloved shidi in this AU. It seems that the og didn't interact much with him, so there was little for him to expect from Shen Yuan. He could be more or less himself, not trying so much to be Shen Qingqiu.

Also he smells so nice.

Shen Yuan mostly ignores his omega instincts, as a person who grew up in a world without second genders. But that smell is like a magnet to him. It says safe, warm, welcome to him.

This is a shapeshifter!AU, where cultivators are winged creatures, able to change forms from human-like to feral and back. I named them "luan" (a name of a mythic bird I shamelessly borrowed from chinese mythology).

Liu Qingge's feral form is inspired by hawks of different kinds and a bit by a harpy (not a mythic one, but a real bird). Also, I couldn't miss the opportunity to joke that he's just so socially HAWKward :D *sounds of crickets in the background*
