using brain damage as an insult isn't a better alternative to using the r word. brain damage doesn't cause bigotry, and it's not the punchline for a joke. you know you can express astonishment at someone's actions without implying they must have brain damage. brain injuries aren't the end of someone's worth as a person. like are you even aware there's various types of brain injury.

The latest Uncanny X-Men issue got me acting up a lil’ bit 🧎‍♀️

These are just a few of the photos I took, but as a part of World Pride, which is hosted in DC this year, they had 20 panels of the original AIDS quilt on display, and I truly can’t express how affecting it was. To see all these people, grieved and loved and missed by the ones they left behind, will remain with me for a long time. After the slog of a fight to get attention paid to this plague, after doing so much work to get medication developed to save lives and give dignity to people living with the disease, I hope that somehow these people know how far we’ve come today with AIDS treatment. It really is astonishing, and it’s all because people back then would not give up.

With things the way they are in the US right now, that’s what I’ll be carrying with me this pride month 💪🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
