   “That’s...a good question.” He said, looking at the surrounding clutter in disbelief. At least it wasn’t carnage. “Maybe your dad lost something...” The office was usually so pristine, but his gut wasn’t telling him anything bad had happened. 

    That’s when he saw the note.

    don’t worry about the mess. i’ll get it when i come back.

    Of course it was Steve. Danny was too neurotic to leave a place in this sort of disarray. Holding the note up to her, he chuckled.

    “Want to help me organize this mess a little before Uncle Steve gets back?”

H50 August challenge: 9 — Favourite Chin and Kono moment

( and it’s not that she entirely regrets her decisions during the case because it was either sun jung or two innocent kids. and well, stevie made the right call in her decision and she’d done what she could to grab the kids instead of sun jung and dive behind the crates.

besides if anything she should be thanking her.

danny counted at least twelve different guys from their tech wing giving her their numbers. )

(It’s an easy smile, one she feels like she’s coming home to. She doesn’t regret the decision either, she would have easily given her life for those two kids, that was just part of the job. The scar still hurt just to remind her it was there sometimes, though.) 

I never said that. That kind of smile, however, makes me nervous. (Okay maybe she appreciated being reminded she was worthwhile by thirteen guys and one girl. 

But she still could have died.)
