sick and tired of these people (specifically on every social media except for here) who call themselves musers but continue to criticize and tear apart EVERY little thing they release. are you really a muser if you only like 2 albums they put out and continue to hate on them for their new stuff and disguise it behind “criticism” and “love” so they can “grow”? news flash but artists make music because it’s their job and they enjoy it. they do not have to cater to you every time a song drops. like damn y’all piss me off

"Matt Bellamy's voice—fragile, reverberated, distorted—isn’t just singing. It’s broadcasting. Like a voice breaking through static from some dystopian outpost, repeating what we already know but are too afraid to name.
There are songs you hear. And then there are songs that dismantle you.
Lyrically, Unravelling is exactly what it promises: a collapse. Of systems, of selves, of narratives we once trusted. But Muse doesn’t just lament that collapse—they score it, note by note. The chorus hits like an emotional breach: synth pads crash against percussive heavy guitar-bass sound, and somewhere beneath it, the human voice still reaches, fighting for breath, for clarity, for meaning.
The cyberpunk influence isn’t just aesthetic; it’s conceptual. Muse has always experimented with other genres and has also been fascinated by the intersection of humanity and technology, of freedom and control. Here, they sound less like a rock band and more like survivors inside the circuitry of a broken empire. And "Unravelling" invites us into this world.
But perhaps the most haunting part is that the song never resolves. There’s no clean ending. No false hope. Just a fade into dystopian ether, as if the machine kept running long after we left the room. It’s brilliant in its restraint—and terrifying in its honesty.
Muse doesn’t offer answers here. They offer a mirror. One cracked, flickering, but still painfully real.
"Unravelling" is not just a song—it’s a scream from the collapse. A confession on loop. A heartbeat inside wires. And whether you’re ready or not, it leaves you with the most human question of all: What’s left of us when the noise fades?"
