“ People go great lengths to look physically attractive, but inner beauty is a more important and stronger basis for lasting relationships. ” - Dalai Lama
Tumblr media
Networking and Inner beauty has finally found its connectivity. We all are acquainted to topics related to Buddhism, Meditation and the art of embracing and loving yourself. But, have we brought our attention to what impact it has on our networking?
We meet new people almost everywhere we go. All we remember is the impression they left on us. First impressions can prove to be an asset. Focus on how these first meets can be made better, to not only maintain cordial relationships, but also have lasting relationships because, People never forget how you make them feel.
// Talking about first impressions, ‘Kind’ is very attractive. Maybe because it is rare?//
People today, spend hours on enhancing their appearance. 78% women spend an hour a day on their appearance, study says. There are literally millions of choices available for each product. It is not just limited to clothing, hair or accessories, but fragrances, customised products and what not. There is no denying to the facts that looking physically attractive makes you feel confident and boosted. It not only gives you an edge of being noticed, but attractive faces generally find it easier to socialise and start conversations. Also, Employees are inclined to hire more attractive faces as compared to average looking people. But does that mean this is a disadvantage for the beautiful souls?
Well, being beautiful on the inside and outside are two different sides of the same story.
Beautiful faces might be soothing to the eye, but kind hearts are unforgettable. Calling someone kind, would not require them to do something rewarding but it is reflected by a person’s general values. Inner Beauty of a person never needs to be shown off. It always finds its way out. By saying this, I do not mean to compare attractive looks and inner beauty as these two topics are about of the same person. Inner Beauty is something perceived differently by different people. It can be reflected by acts of kindness, embracing and loving yourself.
Being kind never goes out of style, as if makes you beautiful at heart. The human heart is a beautiful place and inner beauty is present in every person, it’s just that some people do not light it up.
Networking has literally connected us to the world and we spend hours using our social media accounts, or networking in any other form. With growing networking, the number of people we meet every year is increasing massively. Every person you meet develops an image of you in their mind, which they might, if asked or required reveal to other people. This can prove to be a crucial point of networking, when someone passes on an impression or image of you. Reflecting your inner beauty to the world in every task you do, not only makes you kind and feel better, but the impression or image it passes on is linked with trust, love, happiness etc. Positive values like these are always an advantage as they have a very deep impact on your networking. Trustworthiness, Reliability and Accountability can also be brought to light by the aforementioned values. Values like these are appreciated not only in our day to day lives but also in the corporate world. Everybody loves to be surrounded by positive people, and some way or the other, you receive your reward of being kind. While many people argue about how these values bring benefit to you in real life, it will for sure have an edge on being remembered, valued and lasting relationships.
Whether one believes in a religion or not, and whether one believes in rebirth or not, there isn't anyone who doesn't appreciate kindness and compassion.

Project Statement
Stop-Motion Animation, seemed to be a pretty different and new job for me. However, working on it with  a Personalised Brand “NO Design” was an interesting task.
Scope- The 30-second video tries to show what my partner’s brand “NO” is about. Relating creative confusion with the brand was the main key, because that’s when such designers come into existence.
Objective- Generally videos are about advertisement, However, this video is more focused on the brand and what it does. Not on advertising the brand. If one looks at it with an open mind he gets the idea about what the brand is willing to work and when does it come into picture. Also, having my partner- Nicolas Okerlund’s initials in the name of the Brand & Logo adds a very personal touch.
The animation is very playful and lively. A blast of colours can be seen in it.
Here are some interesting pictures of the video:

Story~
Talking about stop motion animation the first thing that comes up in my mind is what story should I portray or what message message should I convey in it? My Partner Nick’s Brand NO design deals with customers who wish to get Posters, Logos, Business Cards, Brochures etc. designed. What I have thought of is showing a confused person at first and describing how Nick can be helpful to them and how easily they can rely on his skills. Also, portraying a sense of responsibility from his side would be a good way to get customer trust, because being in this industry requires customers to trust and rely on you, without which you cannot do anything. I would also show some of the designs Nick has created already to attract more and more people and also showcase his talent in the advertisement.
From the coming weekend, I’d be working on the sketches and will soon put all of it together with a soothing sound which sounds interesting at the same time. I plan on doing a Whiteboard animation as that would add a pinch of creative touch to it.

LOGO For Nicolas Okerlund’s Design Brand.
The inverted letters- NO remind us of lateral inversion which takes place in mirror images. Just how the mirror reflects, Nicolas aims to have his client’s reflection in each work he produces.

NO
Nicholas Okerlund’s Brand NO.
(My partner for the project)
About NO: An organized yet ever transforming entity that encourages the incorporation of beautiful design in everything. A brand which caters to the need of people by providing logos/branding/illustrations based on their requirements. NO’s work has a touch of playfulness and friendliness but is profoundly detailed.
By closely understanding what the person’s vision is and what we can provide on paper, NO’s work aims to connect to people. It’s work style is like old fashioned vocabulary but with a new attitude.
Working on NO’s Logo has been an interesting task. Here are some sketches of our work in progress.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
( These are the hard copies of my work, I wish to first finalise it on paper and then digitalise it)
What I am focusing is on the exquisite name “NO”. Just like YSL logo (Yves Saint Laurent), we come up with something Playful yet professional.  The main design is under construction. There are the different base structural ideas I came up with.

Amara- Brand Architecture
What is Amara?
Amara is a fashion brand mainly aiming to cater the needs of Women. Although I know there’s going to be a lot of competition but this brand is ready to face it because of the exquisite designs it has produced based on exactly what the women look for.
The Unique selling proposition of Amara is that it provides High end fashion footwear, with great quality but whose prices would be less than those of luxury brands. We are mentioning here Luxury brands because they are our main competitors. (Examples: Guess, Louis Vuitton, CK )
Why Shoes?
Because Shoes are a necessity. No Political, Economical or weather changes affect it.
Exciting Things:
~ Amara’s outlet is under process. Coming from the design background and having a keen interest in Interior Design it’s a really fascinating thing to ponder upon.
Amara is a Greek name meaning Beloved. Just like shoes and accessories are to women.
Tumblr media
Why this name?
I chose this name because it fits perfectly for shoe lovers like me. It adds a touch of lobe to the shoes.
The story behind setting up this Brand is that since childhood I’ve been inspired to start something of my own. Also, Shoes are something that never fails to attract me. Coming to this point when I can do something of my own, My true motive is to launch a Shoe brand.
Our Motives:
Amara’s motive is to provide competition to luxury brands while understanding what exactly women want. Our designers add a pinch of love make the user satisfied. The Designs however, have been produced after good R and D.
Opening a store in a busy shopping complex, will attract people. Also, the events are going to be covered on almost all popular social medias. A Snapchat filter is a must these days!!
Our target market is people who are ardent fans of fashion and are willing to pay a price slightly higher than the normal brands like H&M, Forever21, but so not wish to loosen their pockets to buy CK, Louis Vuitton or guess.

NATURE~
Lost amidst our work, We often tend to ignore our surroundings. If we take a look around, we realise how beautiful the nature is. Nature however consists of many intriguing colours. I must say, they are better than the ones on our shade cards.
Nature has many hidden life meanings tied to it. The process of germination and death can be related. It totally depends on the sight of the person, what he aspires to see. The two sides of it can be: Inspiring or Depressing.
Nature has a strong power to influence colours in human life. We do change our wardrobe based on the weather don't we?
Tumblr media
Walking past this blooming tree early morning made me click this shot. Colour red is surely an attraction to our eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Walking around, I came across this sight.
We often use colours as a medium to indicate emotions/signs, because they connect well with human emotions and each colour has a debatable meaning for it. I recently came across a sight which had a bright orange/red cover to indicate the end of the path. There are numerous sings we can convey just by colours.
The bright red amongst the different shades of green and yellow is providing a clear sign of danger or end.

Exploring With Cam
Tumblr media
SALLY MANN:
A photographer famous for her work with Black and White photography. People generally consider BnW to be very common but she’s got a delicate feeling in each picture she shoots. Her pictures convey a sense of hidden feeling/emotion. Her Gallery motivated me to try clicking a picture in sync with her style.

STEVEN FRIEDMAN:
A Canadian Photographer who is also an adventure lover, does Landscape photography. His collection reflects his sense of strong appreciation for the beautiful nature. Landscape images generally take the viewer behind the lens of his camera to explore the remote areas from the viewer’s eyes.
Nothing’s better than capturing the feel of the present season. Here are my shots.

HENRI CARTIER:
CANDID PHOTOGRAPHY~  Moment capturing a genuine moment happening around. The best part of this candid photographer is that he captures beautiful moments, and not just random things happening around. Candid clicks makes the moment a lot more dramatic and attractive.
Here is my shot.

MARCUS NILLSON:
Food.Food.Food.
Marcus photographs from a very strikingly original angle. According to him: gone are the days of perfectly presented food. Striking contrast between the colours of the food and dishes it is served on, brings out a vibrant warmth to the photograph of which the photo above is a prime example.

IMOGEN CUNNINGHAM:
Known for her botanical and industrial landscapes clicks sharp focused pictures. Although being from an era without the DSLRs, she clicked beautiful close-ups with great sharpness and had a special viewpoint.  Inspired from her botanical photography, I clicked one.
Tumblr media
Afore mentioned are the five photographers who inspired me to click. After reading about them I figured out there are  many different aspects to photography and not everyone can be perfect in every style.
