Haruka probably wasn't expecting her 'hero' to be a sickly, short little girl who looked like she was going to die of exhaustion in every waking second. To be honest, Natara would've ignored Haruka's cries and went off her merry way. After all, how could she possibly be friends with anyone, let alone talk to anyone, when literally anyone could be a potential enemy? But there she was... tapping on the shoulder of the other girl, trying her very darnest not to cough in her face.
"...Uu... it's... not a lie..." Natara uttered out. Even if the sickly girl didn't trust anyone, she still wanted Haruka to at least grasp the gravity of the situation. After all... she seemed nice enough. Natara would, admittedly, be someone sad if someone did decide to off Haruka.
She sniffed once and looked straight into the eyes of the blonde girl.
"...We... nn... I knew we were trapped here for a reason... and.. this is the reason... uu..."
What could she say that would make the other girl realize that they were in danger.
"...It will be...nn... dangerous to assume that it isn't --" she coughed "--.... true...uu.."
Haruka felt a chill run up her spine as she listened to the animatronic’s grating words. Kill?! Who said anything about killing? Haruka had applied to the job because she was a bored teenager that could use the extra money. She did not intend to kill anyone!
But what had the Freddy mascot said? The only way out was to kill? Haruka looked down at her hands, only to see them pale and quivering. All of the blood in her body seemed to have rushed to her toes in a flush of fright. The blonde-haired cosmetician found herself incapable of speech, her mouth going dry as sandpaper. Her feet were mounted to the ground and her eyes stayed locked, out of disbelief, on the Freddy mascot. There was no way this was happening.
"Y-You can’t kill us!"
Haruka tried to yell.
“Let us out! You’re a liar! This isn’t funny!”
She tried desperately to make some sort of words come out of her mouth, but nothing comprehensible came through. She made a strangled noise in the back of her throat. Haruka’s entire body was shaking violently. She didn’t have to believe what the animatronic said. Maybe it was a prank. Maybe she was overreacting and being stupid, believing a robot’s probably programmed words. So why did she believe them?
Something about the mascot made Haruka believe what he said. The words came so prideful, as if the voice behind them was gloating. Look what I’ve done! I’ve captured you all into a pigpen of murder! How delightful of me!
Haruka couldn’t bear the though of killing someone else. Her fists clutched the hem of her skirt as she tried to calm herself down. Her breaths came in short huffs, desperate to grasp some intake of air. Help me, she thought, feeling the strain of her thoughts in her own mind, save me from this nightmare! Tell me this is a lie and I’m going to wake up!

Trapped again [CHAPTER 1 START] [OPEN]
For a girl who had a reputation of coughing and wheezing left and right, Natara was strangely quiet during Freddy's speech. Her tired eyes stared absently into the animatronic's deformed face, her hands were curled into fists in her pockets.
It's happening again. Figures doesn't it? Apparently she had a nack for getting herself locked up. Perhaps her SHSL title should be 'SHSL Prisoner' because gosh dang it, she was tired of this.
And as she listened more to the bear's speech, the more she bit her thin, cracked lips.
This was fucking ridiculous.
Finally she let out a long string of mighty coughs. She coughed into her hands, which became sticky with dry spit, and sniffed once.
She knew something was fishy. She knew it. It was only a matter of time before she got trapped again wasn't it? Fucking hell... And these contradictory rules made matters so much worse. Kill someone to get a promotion? But it's against the rules to hurt someone? How the fuck was that going to work.
Natara gulped, as she looked across the room, quietly observing the other security members. Of course... the bear wants them to commit murder. Actual planned murder. Which meant nobody could be trusted. That was probably the bear's goal.
Natara pulled her hoodie over her head and sank to the back of the room. She didn't care what it took. She was not going to die. Not after everything. Not now. She was going to live and nobody will stop her.

"..Uu..." she groaned.
She sniffed and rubbed her nose, as if it was her nose that bumped into the other girl.
"...I'm not.. nn.. sick.. nn..."
Honestly, Natara's health has been commented on so many times the question felt as mundane as the typical 'oh what's up,' or 'how are you.' She knew she looked sick. And acted sick. But she was fine... really.
And as if on cue, she began coughing again. She coughed on a handkerchief that she got from one of the other employees. Was it that cowboy person? Or was it that vibrant red guy? She couldn't exactly remember.
"...Feel...you...nn?" Natara supposed that was some kind of idiom or a saying, as Natara was pretty she the other girl didn't want Natara to actually touch her. Hmmm... whatever she meant, Natara pretended to understand and just nodded her head... real slow-like.
Meet my loser [OPEEEEN]
Natara frowned at the animatronics as she wobbled her way into the pizzeria, her dull red eyes scanning the stage where the, mildly disturbing, robots stood in place. She already didn’t like this job. The place smelled of grease and it made her wanna gag. Boy, she could sure use a lemon cake or something right about now.
She coughed, covering her mouth with her fist. She sniffed a couple of times before rubbing her eyes, which had deep bags under it. She began to walk whilst still rubbing her eyes, which led to her gracefully bumping into someone.
She had such a small frame, the bump probably felt like a gentle pat from a thin child.
"… Uunnn…" she sniffed, before coughing again. "…Sorry-n…nn.."
Was she apologizing for bumping into the other person, or for coughing at them? Probably both.

"..Uuu..." That was a nice smile. If only Natara herself could smile like that. She made another attempt, trying to curve her lips just as effortlessly and pretty-like like Haruka did. Instead, she went into a wheezing fit.
"...Huuuhnnn..." she breathed.
Well that was embarrassing. Best to never attempt ever again. A frown suited her better anyways.
Even if she couldn't exactly... show it, she was happy to be in the other's company.
Natara made a soft, barely audible giggle. This was good. Hopefully she could consider this Haruka girl to be a friend, and if not a friend then at least an ally of some sorts.
Natara’s lips twitched slightly before they attempted to curve into a smile. Of course she was asking about her health. It happened so often it didn’t faze her anymore…
"…I’m fine…nn.."
Surprisingly she didn’t cough that time around.
Natara blinked a few times at the other, her eyes studied the girl’s face.
"….N-Not… important..nn?" If Natara was surprised, she didn’t show it. "…I think it’s… very important. Uuu.. I don’t.. remember signing up for this… being..nn.. locked.. up."
She coughed, politely turning her head away as she did.
"Uuu… excuse.. me." She said. "…Ahn! Fo-forgive me… I should introduce myself."
She sniffed once before continuing.
"Uu… my name is.. Natara Takeshi..nn," she said, pausing for a moment. Maybe to catch her breath? "I… nnn… I uuu.. ….. … nice to meet you."

"..Uuu..."
Natara, admittedly, hadn't thought of that and the thought gave her minor comfort. It was pretty logical. What can't get out can't get in.
"...That makes.. sense..nn..." She before having another one of her coughing fits. Ah, just great. Way to make a first impression. Well... she supposed it wouldn't have made a difference if she coughed or not, since she looked just as sickly as she seemed with her deathly pale skin and everything.
"Fillly...?" Natara never heard that word before. Ever. Was it some sort of country-esque word? This guy did have a country-ish vibe to him. Well, whatever. He could call her whatever he liked. 'Father' has been doing that for years.
Instead of correcting him and providing her with her actual name, she just nodded slowly.
I'm beginning to think this is a huge mistake [OPEN]

makeupartiist:
The girl that had more or less bumped into Haruka seemed very ill.
Was it a side effect of panic or stress due to suddenly being locked up? Maybe the girl was just sick.
"Er,"
Her voice came small and weak. Haruka didn’t like small and weak. She liked to give a good first impression, but what could she do? She was trapped in a pizzeria filled with a bunch of other penniless teenagers. There were demon robots on the stage just behind her, and she remembered scarcely of what had gone on before she’d shown up at the restaurant.
"The latter… I don’t think that it’s particularly important now, though. Are you quite alright?"
The girl looked like she was strained to speak each word. She’d previously coughed before she could speak a word. Haruka also noticed the dark shadows standing out against the girl’s porcelain skin.
Natara's lips twitched slightly before they attempted to curve into a smile. Of course she was asking about her health. It happened so often it didn't faze her anymore...
"...I'm fine...nn.."
Surprisingly she didn't cough that time around.
Natara blinked a few times at the other, her eyes studied the girl's face.
"....N-Not... important..nn?" If Natara was surprised, she didn't show it. "...I think it's... very important. Uuu.. I don't.. remember signing up for this... being..nn.. locked.. up."
She coughed, politely turning her head away as she did.
"Uuu... excuse.. me." She said. "...Ahn! Fo-forgive me... I should introduce myself."
She sniffed once before continuing.
"Uu... my name is.. Natara Takeshi..nn," she said, pausing for a moment. Maybe to catch her breath? "I... nnn... I uuu.. ..... ... nice to meet you."
Well how in the ever loving flip flop did Natara end up here? She frowned, and stared at the animatronics that were in front of her. She squinted at them, as if it would somehow help her remember why exactly she was in this room. This creepy ass room with those creepy ass robots with these creepy ass… people?
Natara looked around the room, and to her surprise there were other people in this room too. Huh. Gosh, you really zoned out there huh?
She closed her tired, maroon eyes and mentally scolded herself for not paying attention. Without looking, she began to walk towards the exit. The sooner she was out of this place the better.
Instead of finding the exit, however, she found a girl. Then the girl said hello. Did the girl mistake Natara trying to find the exit for someone trying to find someone else to talk to? Probably.
Even if she wasn’t planning on sticking around, it’ll be rather rude to leave this other girl hanging.
”..H-” She coughed once the moment she opened her mouth. “…Uu… excuse me…nn…” She coughed a few times more into her fist.
Why they were here?
"…" Natara blinked a few times at the other girl. "… Don’t.. you… work here..? ..nn"
She sniffed.
"… You.. You are here because you signed up for this job… right?” Natara folded her hands together. “…Uu… or… are you asking why we’re in this room… and why… nn… why the pizzeria is- uhn- locked…”
She spoke slowly and deliberately. You can assume she was trying to speak without coughing.

I'm beginning to think this is a huge mistake [OPEN]
When Natara signed up for this job, it seemed like an easy gig. Who the fuck would want to rob a pizzeria at night anyways? All she had to do was to look after this greasy restaurant, and since she practically never slept, this seemed to be like a perfect job.
Perfect... yea.. right, Natara thought to herself.
The smell of this place made her want to throw up. Plus she did not expect getting locked in this abysmal place. She was quite sick of being locked up. How many times can a girl be locked away in a lifetime?
She sighed. Then she coughed. She looked around to see her other co-workers with her.
Judging from the looks on everyone's faces, nobody seemed to know what was going on... or why they were locked in at all. Good. That meant she wasn't alone. And even better... that meant everyone had a common cause... to find out why they were locked up. Common causes brings together unexpected allies... hm?
She glanced around and spotted the person who was closest to her. Mmm... best start making allies hm?
Awkwardly, she wobbled her way to the other person.
"...Uuu..nn.. excuse me. Would you.. by any chance...nnn.. have any idea why we're locked up...?"

She spoke slowly and deliberately. You can assume she was trying to speak without coughing.
Haruka had never been very good with panic.
She struggled to cope with it. She was so used to making everything neat and tidy and safe. But where she’d woken up, there were no doilies or vases with lively flowers to give her a sense of accomplishment or safety. Haruka felt endlessly panicked.
The room where she’d ended up in (she’d been previously skidding around the dank, discount Chuck-E-Cheese building for nearly an hour, desperately searching for an exit, but to no avail) was before a stage. Three animatronics moved stiffly about on it, apparently lifeless and programmed to entertain. Although she knew she was being silly, Haruka couldn’t help but be a bit unnerved by robots. They were so creepy.
After several blank moments of staring in startled awe, Haruka finally drew herself from her hazy reverie and looked around, finally noticing the people milling around her. There were several others in her same situation, probably over twenty people of her same age range. What were they doing here? What on Earth was going on?
She wanted to speak up, or approach someone, but in the heat of the moment, her legs had turned to jelly. The girl was silently thankful when one of the twenty or so teenagers approached her. Haruka was sure she looked ill and terrified, which was just as she felt. Fumbling over her words, Haruka managed a greeting, albeit wobbly and flustered.
“H-Hi, um…”
Use your words, Haruka.
“Do… you have any idea what w-we’re here for?”
Smooth. Haruka envisioned her current self as a child or a pet, and her actual self would be apologizing for her behavior. I’m sorry, really, she usually doesn’t act like this. Give her a while, she’ll get used to you.
Listen up, stupid, the person’s answering you!

"..Haaruu-sangn..." she muttered slowly to herself, rolling his name around in her mouth. "...Haru-sangn" she said once more to ensure his name stayed in her fragile memory.
"...uu?" Natara cupped her hands together and let the white handkerchief fall softly into her hands. She looked like a homeless beggar asking for coin. Her skinny, frail, little fingers wrapped around the handkerchief, sniffing as she did. "...Uun... Thank you...n," she said.
She nodded. Of course... the customers always came first. She knew that well. Her role was to be a servant, and a servant who was more of a hindrance to their masters was better off in the cold hard ground. Maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration... but nonetheless, she appreciated the other's professionalism.
"...Of course... The customers... I won't cough on them..nn..." she said once again very slowly. She really was trying not to cough was she?
Suddenly she giggled. It was a small, tiny little giggle, as small as the girl herself. "..I.. I know how to serve customers well.. hehe.. you don't have to worry. I... I am...nn I mean..nn my title... it's SHSL Waitress..."
It was obvious she couldn't hold out any longer and she proceeded to cough into the handkerchief she was given.
Meet my loser [OPEEEEN] [PREGAME]
He waited until she stopped wheezing, wanting to ask if she was alright, but already knowing what she would reply with.
"Haru. Himura Haru. And… I think you should, uh, take this," he says, pulling out a clean white handkerchief out of his sweater pocket and handing it to the girl. It was more ‘please keep your germs to yourself’ rather than an act of kindness, he convinced himself.
"Just in case. I’m sure customers don’t appreciate being coughed on."

Natara nodded slowly, quietly observing the boy in front of her. He forgave her quite easily. That was nice. And so far he didn't seem to be all too concerned about her... physical appearance, which was a nice change of pace in all honesty.
"...Yes..n.." she said, "..I work here now."
She blinked a few times at him, and went silent for a few seconds. Real life lag again most likely. She was probably registering what the other boy was saying, or maybe trying to think of what to say.
"Oh," she mumbled. "Ahhnn... you don't need to apologize...nnn"
Her lips twitched upwards as she attempted to smile, before wheezing.
Well that was embarrassing. When she recovered she stared into the eyes of the other.
"Uu... Natara.. Takeshi..." she said slowly, as if trying to avoid coughing again. "... Ahnn.. And... what's your n-name? ...If I dare ask..nn..."
Meet my loser [OPEEEEN] [PREGAME]
"Well, if you say so." Sick or not, she obviously needed cough drops or maybe a trip to the doctors… but that really wasn’t his business.
"I’ll assume thats a yes? Well, I work here too. And I’m sorry for snapping at you like that." he said, looking away. Haru realized he didn’t really need to be so rude to someone who seemed well-mannered enough. And aside from coughing on him, she didn’t seem that bad.
"What’s your name?"

Okay, Natara was definitely not expecting that.
"Uuaaann?!!" She sputtered as she felt the other man's arms wrap around her. Her whole body tensed up and she began to struggle to no avail. She was flailing her arms and legs around, but eventually got tired and just accepted her fate. Her limbs swung side to side as Hiyato walked like a ragdoll in a videogame.
When she was finally set down, she was very clearly dissatisfied with what just happened. She wrapped her arms around herself, hating how someone grabbed her so easily. She made a mental note to be more careful in the future.
She didn't react at all, at the other man's words, and watched listlessly as he began to leave.
It was then that Natara decided that she did not like that boy very much. But... she also noted that he was someone who was eager to please, and eager to help. That could be useful in the future.
With that thought in mind, she got off the chair and wobbled off, hoping that the Mountain-Man wouldn't find her.
Hiyato smiled slightly at the girl, and then he.....LIFTED HER UP. He just took her for, under the arms, and lifted, like she was a child, Hiyato no.
Hiyato moved over to a table, and pushed out a chair with one foot before sitting the girl down.
Stay here, I am going to ask if i can leave and get you some help.

"...Uuun..nnn..." She 'uun-ed.'
This sure as hell wasn't the first time someone reacted this way towards her. It happened so frequently she normally wasn't bothered by it anymore and just felt... numb when her frailness/paleness/coughing spasms were mentioned. Somehow though... the way this Hiyato guy said it bothered her slightly. His kind little remark about her needing a hospital felt more like a demand than anything. She hated taking orders, ironic as that is. Even if she was good at it... she didn't like being told what to do bitch mind your own business.
Instead of voicing her opinions though, she simply nodded her head at the big man.
"...Okay," she stated, dipping her hands into her pockets.
Hiyato could tell the girl was lying, he knew.
why do you lie to me girl, i know you are it is very clear. And if you are not sick, then why are you coughing, why are you so pale, and why, why do you talk so slowly.
You my dear girl, need the hospital.

Natara blinked a few times at the man with an emotionless expression. If she was paying attention, it didn't look like it at all. After another few seconds of real life lag, she suddenly perked up.
"..Ahn?! Ah..nn uu..." That's right... she forgot to introduce herself.
"...Nn My name is Natara Takeshi," she said in a deadpan tone.
Her mouth remained open, disinterestedly, as she listened to the Mountain-Man.
"...un? Ails me?" She sniffed once before continuing. "...I am not ailed...nn"
Hiyato looked at the girl with a slightly worried look on his face.
Are you sure, i do not know much medic stuff, but I know some. The name is Hiyato by the way, now please, what is it that ails you girl.
right now, Hiyato really wished Kukubara was here, he would know how to help, but alas, it was only Hiyato.

Natara didn't look too bothered by the fact the other snapped at her. In fact you could almost say she seemed to be expecting it. Wow... this boy sure was... bright? It hurt Natara's dully coloured eyes to look at such vibrance.
"Uuunn... sorry..." she muttered again, folding her hands together. She proceeded to give a quick, apologetic bow. That's what one's supposed to do when someone is upset with you. 'Father' taught her that. And it was a useful skill, especially with dealing with rude customers.
"..Ahhnn..? ...Nnn..." Well this wasn't the first time she's been called sick.
"...I'm not.. nn.. sick..." she said, flatly, before coughing once again into her hand. "I uhm... yea. I think I... work here..nn..nn.."

Instead of answering, Natara sniffed. The other girl looked pretty nice... and warm... Natara felt pretty bad for being in the same room as someone who looked so healthy and full of goodness.
She instinctively flinched when the other girl suddenly patted her arm.
"Uuu..nn!!"
Natara wobbled a few steps back, placing her hand over the place where the other girl touched. Oh geez, that probably looked really weird to the other girl right? Way to make a first impression.
Instead of apologizing for her reaction, she coughed again, covering her face with her hands as she did.
When she was done coughing, she looked at the ground in minor discomfort. She didn't flinch the second time the girl touched her, though her shoulders tensed slightly.
"...Nn.. I'm okay..." People were always asking if she was alright. Instead of feeling grateful for the kindness and concern, she just felt numb.
She shook her head slowly.
"...No... I-I've... always been...n..nnn..." she sniffed. "...The cough drops never work.."
Oh gee she was making this conversation incredibly gloomy. Best to make this as light as possible. She looked straight into the eyes of the other, her dull red eyes looked more alive than the rest of her body, and forced an incredibly strange looking smile.
"...Thank you..nnn"
Meet my loser [OPEEEEN] [PREGAME]

"Ah, it’s fine, dear."
Miu had been standing in her usual spot, letting Aiko run around with a few of the other kids that were there. Aiko really enjoyed the pizzeria, even with the creepy animatronics. Miu tried her best to stay away from them.
She turned to the girl that had bumped into her, giving her a small pat on the arm. She looked rather sick to be here, like she should be at home sleeping rather than walking around here. "Are you alright, miss? I have a few cough drops in my purse if you need one."
Miu gave the girl’s arm a gentle squeeze, hoping to comfort the sick girl.
