"I just come here to think. Maybe check out a book or two occasionally," she said with a shrug. She looked at the tabletop for a moment.
"...Hold on. Did you have a question in the first place? Was this an excuse to come talk to me?" she asked incredulously.
-
"Erm, alright…" she trailed off, continuing to tap her fingers. "So… what brings you here? I’ve never seen you here before. I mean, I don’t come here all that much anyways, but…"
She looked at the table, deciding to keep quiet until asked a question. Nods would suffice.

Pick an age or point on the character's timeline, and ask a question. The character will respond as that age.

Megumi looked up at this stranger standing across from her. “Oh, erm…yes, I guess so. Do you need help with something? I could help, if you need me to.” She inwardly sighed as she got carried away in her trying to be nice. It always happened. To make up for her boring...

"At least you get noticed, right? I'm just you know..." She paused, sighing. "There."

"Oh, I fix watches and clocks. Super high school level watchmaker," she replied, hugging her waist.
3 People have clocked in.
The Watchmaker tentatively took her hand and shook it firmly. “It’s nice to meet you too, Lana.” She withdrew her hand and pulled at the hem of her sweater. “How are you?”

"Oh, yes, I go to Hope's Peak. I'm a watchmaker. And fixer."
3 People have clocked in.
"Oh, er, welcome. Thank you for following me." She gives a meek smile. "I’m Megumi Takedo."

She inwardly sighed as she got carried away in her trying to be nice. It always happened. To make up for her boring appearance and boring occupation, she would go out of her way to try and create a likable personality. She hated her blandness.
"I mean...." She sighed. "I'm sorry. What's your question?"

She sat quietly, tapping her fingers to the rhythm of the clock hanging above her. She was deep in thought, which was usually what she was when she was in a library. When she was in an utter deadlock, she usually turned to the peaceful environment of a library to help her think. This time it was about the watch she found in a trunk in her attic. Sterling silver band, the face shined like it was new, but it didn’t work. The hands looked fine, the gears looked okay, but it wouldn’t run. She sighed, laying her cheek in her hand and observing.
It was a slow day, not many people were there. But she liked it that way.

She blinked, looking up to the person standing above her. His outstretched hand held a joker card between two fingers. There went her peaceful sanctuary.
"Oh, directions. Um, yes. Where are you headed? I could uh… lead you to wherever, if you’d like," she offered along with a meek smile. He was interrupting her solidity, but she could make an attempt at being nice. If she couldn’t be interesting, she could at least have a likable personality, right?
He could do it. He could find his way around the town. He was gonna do it, simple trick, bakery and back. Get cupcakes for friends, return home. OK Magic man, time to shine. He made his way around the streets, smiling at the businessmen in suits. Always good to see some…

She sat quietly at a cafe table, latte getting cold in front of her. She was too caught up in the mystery of this watch she had found. It was a seemingly old pocket watch. Its chain was rusting and there supposedly was lettering on the outside, but it was too damaged to make out. The watch itself was damaged too. The glass was fractured and the hour hand was bent. When she held the object to her ear, she noticed that the ticking was off. It only ticked every other second or so. She would make sure to check out the guts when she got home.
Megumi slipped the pocketwatch into the breast pocket of her oversized flannel shirt and rested her elbow upon the table. She laid her cheek in her hand and observed the pedestrians. She quite liked sitting here, she had realized. Sitting so openly yet so closed off. She sat outside yet no one batted an eyelash at her. And she liked it. Solitude was her friend.

He could do it. He could find his way around the town. He was gonna do it, simple trick, bakery and back. Get cupcakes for friends, return home. OK Magic man, time to shine. He made his way around the streets, smiling at the businessmen in suits. Always good to see some fashionable people. Eventually, he made it: the bakery. That’s when it happened, the brilliant moment of clarity in the sea of fog: he realized he was lost.
Lost in a city he didn’t know, with people he didn’t recognize. Landmarks, right, look for something familiar. Well, that street light did. And all the ones that looked just like it. Frick. Alright, calm down, why not ask someone for directions to Hope’s Peak from the… ‘Turnover a New Leaf’ cafe. Weird name. Whatever, he would remember it when he had the confidence to actually get something. He looked around frantically, obviously confused, lost, and a tiny bit completely overwhelmed.
