Pensamientos sobre leaks MHA 286

Man quiero que alguien haga un meme sobre lo que está pasando en MHA 286.

Recuerdan ese meme donde sale un tipo sonriendo y detrás del está que se muere alguien? Le recriminan en los comentarios pero responde 'esto no es sobre el'

Ahora quiero uno con AFO vs OFA, en los cuerpos de deku y shigaraki ( porque literal hasta este punto se han vuelto marionetas!) y detrás el cuerpo de bakugou desangrándose. Diciendo en la premisa talvez 'la mejor pelea del año' o 'la pelea entre el bien y el mal' y alguien comentando 'bakugou se está desangrando detras' y tanto OFA como AFO 'esto no es sobre el' ...

Literal señores Bakugou fue USADO para que AFO y OFA tengan su momento, ya ni siquiera son deku y shigaraki.

Man estoy triste, Horikoshi tuvo la oportunidad de tomar varios rumbos en su trama a partir del capítulo anterior con la escena final con Bakugou, pero decidió irse con lo más cliché e irse por su trama principal AFO vs OFA, oh vamos! Era super predecible que Izuku iba a estallar en ira y con eso revelar más del OFA ...

Pero es que ese niño no se da cuenta que su cuerpo está más que destrozado! Como rayos va a sacar fuerzas?! Como me justificas eso Horikoshi?! Cuando me mostraste en el capítulo anterior de su escena en el hospital,ese niño ya debió llegar a su límite!

Man y ni hablemos del desperdicio de Shoto, este era su momento! Era ahora o esperar a que llegue dabi!

Temía que solo lo usarán para sus temas familiares y dicho y hecho!

Horikoshi con esto me acaba de confirmar que Shoto no se va a involucrar con el OFA.

Literal aquí era para que Shoto tomara el mando y peleará con Shigaraki, dejando a deku reflexionando o nosé en shock literal su amigo de la infancia fue empalado en su cara!! Y tal vez darse cuenta de su situación y que no está solo pinche deku!

PERO NO! Literal es el único mejor parado allí con nuevo traje y super nuevos movimientos, pero a Shoto me lo usan como enfermera y para gritoniar, super raro porque hasta ahora no se está involucrando en la pelea, es una pena en verdad, definitivamente Shoto desperdiciado!

I feel you 😣😭 I really really hope that Horikoshi gives him a win please!!!

genuinely curious, why do u say you're afraid Shouto's going to get the Iida treatment, and has already been pushed to the side when he shouldn't have been? He's literally pushed his way through every arc, in a way that competes even with Bakugou (even if that's bound to change/evolve with Bakugou's development). The only arc when he wasn't there was Overhaul, and immediately after we've got an arc focused on him. I honestly don't see any instance when he was needed and wasn't there.

My fear comes from the fact that it feels like Horikoshi changed Shouto’s role in the story. He was introduced as the “Boy with Everything” who had the quirk engineered to be able to compete with OFA. 

This aspect of him has gradually diminished, and while he got his “own story-line”, it is in fact more the storyline of Endeavor, Dabi, Hawks and the entire rest of the Todoroki family. Most of the time, we are not focusing on Shouto himself - we are watching Endeavor’s arc through his eyes. 

I also feel like Horikoshi really clipped his wings after the Sport Festival. He was supposed to be this wunderkind with impeccable judgement, long history of training, the only S-level power in the class, yet he’s constantly stumbling: 

He would have failed the midterms spectacularly without Momo to the point where he was more just assisting, 

he could do no more than hold back Moonfish, and couldn’t catch Compress or outspeed Dabi,

 in Kamino his only contribution is one big iceberg, 

he fails the Provisional Licence exam (and I think while we got a lot of focus on Bakugou’s psyche about handling the failure in DvK2, we saw nothing of Todoroki’s state of mind), 

sits out Overhaul,

the Remedial arc is split between him, Bakugou, Endeavor and All Might (and is super-short), 

not much in the Cultural Festival arc, 

In pro-hero arc, he’s again our POV to Endeavor

JTA - he gets a draw, while Bakugou and Midoriya both get a win

He has one itty-bitty villain fight he shares with Bakugou 

The narrative gives him no wins at all. And while it makes sense for him to struggle with fire, I think Horikoshi nerfed him a little bit too much. 

Also, while in the Sport Festival he was connected to the OFA-story (through his entire origin, and also AFO’s foreshadowing) Horikoshi took him out of there and steered him towards the Todoroki arc. But now, in the Endeavor internship arc, he made Bakugou and Deku also part of the Todoroki arc. And I thought, yay, my three boys are becoming a real trio. I was honestly excited about it. 

But now, I’m worried. To me, it feels like after all this build-up all three of them should be on this battlefield, but Shouto was left behind. And I’m worried that if Endeavor dies / Dabi reveal happens, the Todoroki-arc will be deemed “resolved” with Shouto getting the Iida-treatment (whose own arc was connected to Stain through his family, and once “resolved”, his arc was put on the back-burner. We don’t know how he feels about his brother anymore, we know hardly anything about his growth, because it’s not important to the main story anymore). 

Like it feels to me that Shouto is the tertiary character after Deku and Bakugou and he will keep this role, but what if you know, he’s just meant to be like Iida or Kirishima who got the spotlight for a little while, but once the main story to which they were connected to got resolved, they were pushed to the background?

So yeah, it feels like we are at a story crossroad, and I think the role Shouto gets in this arc will define what kind of part he gets in the rest of the story. And so far, it’s not looking great. It’s really stressing me out.

Denouncing the Bakusquad

Frankly, I never understood why it was even called the Bakusquad. Even the first time I came across the name, I scratched my head in confusion cuz Bakugou wasn’t friends with any of them except for Kirishima. I 100% stan renaming them the Kirisquad. Besides, if any canon group is the Bakusquad, it’s the Class 1-A Band. They’re canonically only people besides Kirishima that Bakugou has learned to trust and respect enough to cooperate with them. Besides, Bakugou is a major introvert, and the Kirisquad are a bunch of loud, noisy, annoying extroverts. If Bakugou was going to choose anyone to hang out with, it’s going to be other low-key quiet introverts like him. Hence why I believe he’d be friends with Jirou, Tokoyami, and maybe Shinsou. That would be the real Bakusquad. The people Bakugou would actually want to surround himself with based on his personality and his hatred for large groups.

Random facts about Todoroki Shouto

- He’s superstitious (x). 

- When he’s sleepy, he does this cute thing where he absentmindedly rubs his forefinger and thumb together.   

- The thing he does where he surfes (slides?) on his ice instead of running? Baywatch!Todo confirmed, lmfao

- He used his flames to entertain a kid once and had a smile on his face while doing so (x).

- He unironically thought that Midoriya was All Might’s secret lovechild, and led him to a dark hallway to confront him about it. Also, that was one of their first interactions since the school year started (lmao, way to make an impression, Tododork :’D)

- He’s canonically the mom friend.

- I mean it. He admitted to having kept a close eye on Iida when he was plotting revenge on Stain; offered Deku food when he was feeling down; tried his damnest hard to protect Bakugou during training camp; embarked on an illegal rescue mission when he still was unlicensed (TWICE); but most importantly, goes to bed early like a grandpa.

- ‘oh’ is his default reaction to pretty much anything.

- One of my favourite examples: he’s visibly trembling from how spooked he is, but he doesn’t scream or yelp or anything. He just goes ‘oh’.

- He gave Camie his contact info which shows that he’s not a social recluse or completely inept as socializing like his fanon counterpart.
