MAKOTO quickly shook his head, giving a small, awkward laugh and a smile.  he hadn’t meant to make the other uncomfortable, really.  he’d simply gotten too caught up in his own thoughts to realize that a rather handsome stranger with dazzling blue eyes had taken up residence across from him. and upon realizing this, makoto feels his face flush slightly, a hand coming to rub at the back of his neck.  he wanted to speak, but no words would come out, and he flushed even further. here he was, sitting in front of an extremely attractive stranger, and he was making a fool of himself already.  running a hand through his hair, hesighed before finally speaking.

❝ i-i’m really sorry about that.  i-i just....got caught up in thought and hadn’t realized you’d sat down.   i-i’m makoto, by the way. ❞

HE gave another sigh along with a warm smile before extending his hand towards the raven.  if he’d made the other uncomfortable in anyway, the least he could do was try to make it better by being friendly.  after all, first impressions were important, after all.  tugging his sleeve back over his wrist, makoto let emerald hues glance towards the other’s sketchpad for a brief moment, contemplating his next question.  choosing to say nothing, he leaned back in his chair and looked once again towards his book before closing it.  something about this person felt....different, but makoto couldn’t quite put his finger on it.

❝ ....so, what brings you here ?? ❞

                Today is strange ー no, odd? It didn’t                 matter, because the usually composed                 raven is an INTERNAL mess. He’d                 awoken in an exhausted state, already                 quite unusual considering since his                 thoughts were generally VERY organized                 & sorted. 

                Not only that, but the number of times he                 ran his dainty fingers over the mark he’d                 possessed since birth was COUNTLESS.                 He never worried about it then; never cared                 about finding his ‘soulmate’, but the sudden                 curiosity of who & when he’ll meet his life                 long partner continued to wrack his thoughts.

                Should he swim?? Should he cook?? He’d                 DO ANYTHING to calm the turmoil boiling                 inside him, ANYTHING to distract him.

                & that’s how he ends up in the public library,                 tiny sketchbook in hand & pencil ready to                 sketch this stress away. At this point, he’s                 following instinct & somehow drawn to the                 silent solitude the library had to offer. Like a                 pull, he’s dragged to the isolated part of the                 library & seats himself after getting over the                 hesitation of sharing a table with another person. 

                With his sketchbook out & pencil scribbling                 lightly across the textured surface, Haru senses                 eyes peering at him, STRAIGHT at him. In                 reflex he meets the gaze, only to be MET with                 STUNNING emerald eyes. It’s as if his BREATH                 is taken away, a blush dusting the smooth expanse                 of his cheeks.

                But WHAT’S with his extended staring??
