Downtown Pittsburgh from a Cessna C170B. This shot was something I had always dreamt of but I didn’t realize I would’ve been able to get it. My friend was home during break and catching up he mentioned he had recently got his pilots license. So, I of course asked if I could pay him to fly me around the city. 

When up in the air it was crazy, being afraid of heights, I had to balance my nerves and make sure I was calm to capture the photographs as sharply as possible. When we rounded Point State Park I prepared my self to capture this shot. When everything was in frame I fired away and came away with this stunning frame with the wing in frame. 

This was one of the craziest shoots I’ve ever had. Having to confront my fears, quickly learn how to photograph through rounded airplane glass, and operate in a small space. I was stoked with what I captured.

Ando harta, cansada, ya no quiero más. No entiendo que me pasa, tal vez sea que me estoy quedando sin energía, tal vez sea el cansancio mental y físico, tal vez sea la irritabilidad, la depresión, la ansiedad, la angustia, los traumas, las heridas, las cicatrices, el caos. O tal vez sea todo eso, un torbellino de emociones que aún no logro ordenar.

similares a un mar,

donde suelo ahogar pensamientos

y chocarme con el pasado.

Allí, te encontré.

Parecías un recuerdo más;

pero al percatarme de que eras tú,

no pude evitar decirme que te extrañaba.

No sé si me escuchaste,

no sé si me sentiste;

pero te veía y eras feliz

y así, yo lo fui también.

Aunque por instantes

llegaban huracanes del pasado a dañarme

a recordarme lo que pudo ser y no fue

y a relatarme, una y otra vez, aquellos poemas que alguna vez te dediqué

Trato de ignorar los vestigios que repiquetean por ahí

porque, aunque anhele volver

(o que vuelvas)

es mejor así,

observar de lejos

la única nube suntuosa

que surgió alguna vez en mi tormentoso cielo.

(Espero que el tuyo, al menos ahora, sea más bonito).
