In times of kings and queens, Gardevoir and Gallade had been recognized as more effective than human guards, so several traveled the grounds of the palace in Kalos and Hoenn to prevent enemy attacks.

They learned to bow to the royals by emulating humans. This behavior was passed down through the generations of Gallade and Gardevoir, so even today Ralts and Kirlia are taught by their parents to bow to those they respect.

Statues of them are still erected as a homage to the knightly Pokémon long past.
