I have to admit, when the reporter first asked me about it I didn't really want to do it, and seeing myself on television in that way is so weird. But I'm glad I did. Because like you said, so many people here in the US drive with their dogs unrestrained. It's something that I feel so strongly about now. And though I'd have loved to have learned this lesson without losing my boy, I know now, and I'll never make the same mistake. To be honest, I'm not even sure a crate would've saved Jasper. My car was pushed off of an interstate highway, went airborne and rolled down a hill about four times. I'll never know. But crating dogs will save lives and if Jasper and mine's story can do that, then that's the best thing to come out of this.

Husky Jasper was thrown from a vehicle in a rollover crash and was killed instantly .

Thanks for sharing this here @pantsthepuppy. I know I haven't been on this blog in a very long time. Please secure your dogs. This is the worst thing I've ever gone through and no one deserves it. Jasper would've been 2 years old on March 13. He died on March 3.
