This month's devlog is coming soon, but as a preview: I made a whole new pathfinding algorithm for the point-and-click control scheme, so that Amadeus can now self-navigate around corners and more complex level geographies. It should now feel MUCH better for players who want to exclusively use the point-and-click controls and prefer not to use WASD.

Do you love Ghost Trick? Do you want to re-play the game but be a cat the whole time? Well, I did, so I spent four years of my life reverse-engineering the game's code to make a version of it where you can do just that.

As of version 1.0.0, the following changes are implemented:

Every portrait sprite for Sissel has been replaced with the cat

Yomiel's body in the People database has been replaced with an animation of the cat

Changes made in English language only

Changes are NOT reversible

The project page readme has some thoughts about future changes I might like to work on someday, but for now, I am so pleased to have a version that is completely playable, As Cat. I also have heavily documented my process, so if you are interested in recreating my work in the other language files, the project page on GitHub has a directory with notes on earlier versions, and you can also read this romhacking.net thread!

Please share widely, have fun, and let me know if you discover any bugs. I believe I caught all of the scenes that accidentally cat-ified Yomiel too and reverted those, but there's always a chance I missed one.
