eric smirks at you with his one card in hand, about to place it down in the deck to declare his win.

"youngjae!" you whine as eric places his +2 card down.

"i won for the fourth time, are you letting me win y/n?"

"i take this very seriously," you frown and get up from your chair, about to walk away.

"y/n you know it's just a game,"

"my suffering is a game to you?" you gasp, not believing that your friend would enjoy such a thing.

you walk into the kitchen to grab a glass of water while eric trails behind mumbling about how he's sorry.

you scoff and take a sip of your water, holding your head up high slowly placing your glass down.

"wow you're really doing that now huh," eric looks at you with shocked eyes. then a moment passes when an idea pops into his mind.

"whatever.." eric takes a few steps away from you and waits a bit before grabbing you, throwing you over his shoulder, tackling you on his couch and attacking you with tickles.

"youngjaeee!" you yelled in between giggles as you struggled to get eric off of you.

"y/nnn!" eric mocked once you finally managed to get eric off of you.

"now that was worse than uno," you folded your arms together.

"i know, and i"m sorry," eric looked at you, "forgiveness hug?" eric held open his arms waiting for your response.

you thought for a moment before leaping into eric's reach, "forgiveness hug!"

the two of you stayed like that for a bit before pulling away. this moment might've been wholesome, but you know for a fact that you'll get eric back.

you were serving the last customers in the cafe you've worked at for 2 years.

eric sohn, your work best friend, the person you were currently working with and maybe the guy you have a small crush on, was walking towards the entrance getting ready to lock up the shop.

right before he could two people run inside.

"oh hi sorry we're actually closing right now, we open at 10 am tomorrow!" eric said with a smile.

"you guys close at 9, its 8:55," one person said.

"you're right but it's easier for us to close a bit earlier due to personal schedules," eric, still smiling, tried to convince the people.

"but we're here before closing, you should be able to serve us!" the other person exclaimed.

you were eavesdropping on the argument while handing your current customers their drinks.

"wait hold on how come they can order but not us?"

"well they were here before we started closing," eric explained.

you sighed and yelled over at the three, "hey it's fine, i can make you guys your drinks right now."

"omg thank youuuu! you get us so well, people these days can be so annoying am i right?!"

"oh haha, just tell me what you want," forcing a smile you took their order and started making it.

eric walked over to help you make their order as well, the both of you done with these customers and just wanted to go home.

"alright here you guys go," you said and gave them their drinks.

"oh good! can we dine in right now?"

you and eric shared a look of confusion. you guys were closing, they knew that. so why would they want to dine in.

"uh actual-"

"look, we're closing and we're going to nerd you guys to head out, its already 9 so were are currently closed." eric cut you off, you could tell he was annoyed.

the customers scoffed and made their way out the door. eric slowly followed behind them ready to finally close up. once the door was locked he turned off the 'open' sign.

you were cleaning the counters, putting cups and containers away and washing dishes.

eric sighs and opens his mouth, "ugh i could not stand those people, like they knew what time we close but came in 5 minutes before? it's common sense to close up and few minutes before closing too!"

"yeah, they just barged in and argued for no reason. sometimes i feel like we don't get paid enough to deal with customers like that." you agreed.

you both finished your closing duties and met in the staff room.

"i can't wait until changmin gets back from vacation, closing would be so much easier." you said while grabbing your bag.

"is it not fun closing with me?" eric frowned.

"it is fun, but having a another hand makes things a lot different."

"you're right," eric took his stuff and the two if you walked out the back door.

you approached his car and entered the passenger seat. eric sat down as well, he didn't close his door though.

"you're taking me home right?" you asked looking at the boy.

"yeah i will, i just like the breeze,"

"i see,"

eric closed his door, put his key in and started the engine. he rolled all the windows down and pulled out of the parking lot.

you admired the view from your window, you guys worked in a small city so there were many buildings with cute little lights wrapped around them. all the lights were shining so bright.

eric was focused on the road, you couldn't help but look over at him. he looked ethereal, so focused but the street lights made him shine.

you really never knew when the small crush you had on your coworker started but you hoped it wouldn't end soon.

sadly you couldn't admire him any longer as you two made it to your house.

"you have reached your destination, how would you like to tip your driver?" eric said with a big smile across his face.

you thought to yourself for a moment before planting a small kiss on his cheek. once doing so you bolted out of his car and ran to your front door, forgetting your stuff in his car.

eric rolled down the passenger window, "u-uh you forgot your bag," he held up your tote bag and you made your way towards him.

"yeah i noticed, but thanks for driving me home, bye-" you grabbed a hold of your bag but eric didn't let go.

"you think i would let that kiss slide?" eric smirked.

"what? uhm well i didn't have cash on me and that was the only thing i could think of! im sorry i've been watching too many kdramas-" you rambled.

"oh my gosh, you're so cute," eric let go of your bag, grabbed your hand and kissed it, "now go get some rest,"

you stood on the sidewalk in shock, completely flustered. you inhaled and ran inside your house, all the thoughts of what just happened filled your head.

you jumped onto your bed and hugged your sheets.

you and your best friend, eric, hadn't seen each other in a while. although you've spent a long time away from him that doesn't stop you two from being absolute dorks.

so when seeing each other at a mutual friends party the two of you went crazy! after saying hello 100 times to each other you both raided the snack table, basically eating all the leftover halloween candy you found there.

the two of you were just chilling on the floor, occasionally people would walk by but you guys were in your own world.

"snickers or twix?" you asked, "snickers," eric responded.

you headed him the candy bar and inhaled. whenever you were with Eric everything just felt okay. as if all your worries went away and you were just free. you didn't feel judged around Eric.

you were stuck on that thought for a long time. you knew you shouldn't have been thinking of that right now but it felt comforting in a way.

Eric was munching down on some m&m's he found when he noticed you zoning off.

"earth to y/n," eric started waving his hands in front of your face and when you were too slow to respond he started shaking you.

"what! eric wait what is going on?" you let go of the breath you were holding in and focused on Eric's face.

"oh nothing you were just zoning out," eric let go of you and smiled. you smiled back.

you watched as eric took a handful of skittles and just swallow them all.

you jump up in shock and immediately told him to chew them first.

eric started coughing, as if he didn't know that was going to happen. he resorted to running over to the other side of the room, where all the drinks were, and taking big gulps of water.

you on the other hand couldn't control yourself and started to laugh at the situation in front of you.

this moment gave you a sense of deja vu. it felt just like when you and Eric were hanging out a couple years back and he was swallowing his noodles. you always told him to chew them because you were concerned he would choke, but he would never listen. some people never change you thought.

after eric calmed down from his random burst of energy, he sat next to you. he was probably sugar high for 2 minutes but that didn't matter.

"okay so, it's been a while but im so happy to see you again, i hope you know that." eric started. you were confused at first because you didn't expect him to say that.

"oh and i hope you've been doing well too, im curious to know what you've been up to." eric smiled at you. you knew his wasn't sugar high because his smile was one of genuine happiness.

"and you know since it's been like forever since we've met, ive been scared you would've forgotten all about me, i hope that's not the case." you would've replied but eric was quick to talk, "i don't even know what im saying anymore maybe it's because ive missed you so much that ive been feeling the withdraws, okay ill stop talking." eric rested his head on your shoulder and frowned.

you chuckled before saying, "eric ive missed you too, and i knew that eventually we'd meet again so i wasn't worried as much. of course i would never forget about you, your photo is on the back of my phone case!" you pull out your phone to show eric the photo of him.

"ive been doing good too, i was very sad when i didn't get to see you, i mean i guess i felt like there was a piece of me missing." you frown and look at eric.

"it's all okay now because here we are, together again, and we can make so many memories." the both of you smile at each other.

eric decides to do something bold and places his hand on your cheek, lightly caressing it.

"y/n, can i kiss you right now?" eric says out of the blue, but who would you be to say no to this great opportunity?

you nod and as soon as you put your lips together you feel something. the feeling of something lighting up inside of you. maybe its electricity shooting back and fourth in your body, or it could be fireworks.

who knows, eric just does something to you that you can't explain. but now its time to question,maybe he's more than a friend?

you smile into the kiss as eric deepens it. your lips dance on each others. as much as you'd like to enjoy more of what you're feeling right now, the kiss is cut short from a traumatized sunwoo who gasped dramatically.

"ew please get a room!" sunwoo runs out of the room dropping the bag of chips he came here for.

the two of you giggle and just cuddle for the rest of the night. slowly you did end up falling asleep, you just felt safe in erics arms.

once eric noticed he placed a kiss on your forehead and softly said, "always remember, that i love you."

hyunjae invited you to another one of his practices this week. obviously he knew you had nothing better to do so you said yes. it kind of just became a normal routine, and the coach is fine with it, because he thinks you and hyunjae are dating.

it's currently 2:35 pm and you just entered the gym, you were 5 minutes later Tham usual because you stopped by the vending machine to get you and hyunjae some snacks.

you made your way to the seat that was always there for you. hyunjae looked your way and waved, you smiled at him holding up a cookie. hyunjae's eyes lit up but soon his coach yelled at him to finish the warm up.

you giggled to yourself as hyunjae frowned and finished his lap around the gym. you never really did anything at the practices, you sometimes helped clean up but other than that you did work on homework. you were only there for hyunjae.

you didn't realize that you zoned out but by the time you gained your senses hyunjae's practice was almost over. 10 minutes were left but they finished early.

hyunjae ran to you and ruffled your hair before asking  "you wanna know something?" you hummed, "okay well apparently coach jang thinks were like this," hyunjae turns around and hugs himself making it look like he was kissing someone while making smooching noises.

your face has a look of horror, "oh what? that's so weird!"

some teammates cheered while others were shaking each other with excitement. hyunjae on the other hand made his way to you with a big smile on his face.

he stood in front of you, "i made the shot, now you owe me, cutie" hyunjae smiles.

"huh?" you said as hyunjae grabbed your waist, pulled your body close to his and leaned in for a kiss. everything happened so quick.

hyunjae was very passionate and careful with the kiss. you were surprised at first, but you slowly kissed him back. after a good couple seconds the two of you pulled away from each other.

"i got what i wanted," hyunjae winked.
