Our plan was to go to Narrabeen Beach. So I woke up at 4 today. Got to Wynyard Station, missed a bus, took the next one. But since we missed a bus, we were running late. So we decided to stop at the @thebeachclubcollaroy. The sun was about to rise. The sky was at its best. We found this spot right in the middle. And there was also a small puddle of water. Water makes for a great mirror. So I placed the @gopro, composed the image for that symmetry, and snap. 😁 This is by far, the best shots I've taken with the gopro. Waking up early in the morning for these mesmerizing views. The sky turned from dull grey to a beautiful shade of blue. But yet again, we missed the rising sun. One of the major motivations behind waking up today was to watch sunrise 🌅. I though of going to #WatsonsBay and watch one from there. But the first bus to Watson's Bay starts from Wynyard at 6:40. And by the time we reached the spot, the sun had already risen. It was sad. But Watson Bay's still beautiful and full of these picturesque spots. Ballerina - Along the harbour’s edge, the image of a dancer shimmers as if on a dream. Ballerina conjures the desire of young artists to reach the infinite through their artistry. The work uses a lighting sequence played across 20 silhouettes to represent the hypnotic cycle of a ballet, repeating in sync with its soundtrack by Davide Lamastra. Stroboscopic effects call to mind a succession of shots from some sort of photographic memory that make up a meaningful yet never completely perceptible vision. In this dreamlike context, the ballerina of light dances on and on, performing steps, pirouettes and arabesques in an eternal solo. She is barely aware of the architecture, pathways, banisters, lampposts, benches and audience around her. Instead, she is totally absorbed on her stage – the water – with its reflections that fondly embrace the whole city.
