Originally I see it as a braid cascading down, because, what body part hangs like the hanged man and it’s not the penis? (Penis goes to The Sun card.) But then I was like, but who would rock braids more than your black neighbor? So that’s how it became the Hanged (wo)Man.

Dedicated to the people of color in my life who thinks it’s a good idea to educate me on their hair routine. Which shocked me. I mean, once you know how much effort they put in their hair, you never want to touch their hair, even tho it’s lit and it defies hair science.

So today marks my first full year in San Francisco. This has been the hardest, most stressful and anxiety ridden year of my life. But in this year I lucked into a great job, became active for the first time in my life, and my hair has doubled in size. I've done things and gone places that I never would have dreamed of doing if I had stayed in the country. So cheers to one year and hopefully many cities more 🍻
